It's a great location if you want to be close to nature and enjoy the fabulous scenery around La Clusaz, but have all the bars, shops and restaurants of this popular Alpine village close at hand.
About the property
Accommodation at this stylish, contemporary chalet is set over three main levels.
Full-height windows and doors ensure the open-plan living area is always flooded with light, and make the most of the incredible village and mountain views. Cosy sofas and chairs are arranged around the fireplace and flat screen television, and the large dining table is sure to be the scene of some great meals, cooked up in the fully-equipped kitchen.
The wide, sunny terrace is the perfect place for a pre-dinner apero, and on sunny days you enjoy your meal outside.
The chalet has five well-appointed bedrooms, including a double bedroom on the main floor with a television, en suite shower room and doors to the terrace. On the next floor, you'll find two double bedrooms, one with an en suite shower room, and the other with an en suite bathroom.
There are two bedrooms on the top floor, under the eaves: one has three single beds and the other has two single beds. These bedrooms share a shower room and a separate toilet.
There is garage space for three cars, and the chalet also has a laundry room with a washing machine and dryer, and a ski store.
About the area
La Clusaz, which together with Le Grand Bornand and Manigod makes up the Aravis ski area, is a great year-round resort just an hour from Geneva airport.
Your Aravis ski pass gives you access to 220km of pistes and 95 lifts, so you will never be short of somewhere new to explore. There’s great terrain for cross-country skiers at the nearby Beauregard and Confins plateaus.
Non-skiers will have no time to be bored, with an ice-skating rink and cinema in La Clusaz, as well as sledging, snow-shoe walking, dog-sledding and sleigh rides. If you’re looking for the ultimate in relaxation, let your cares float away in the village’s heated outdoor pool, while the snow falls gently around you.
There's just as much going on in the summer. Hike around the Col des Aravis, or let the telecabine ferry you and your bike to the top of the mountains, so you can come back down at your own pace. Other activities available in the area include horse-riding, climbing, via ferrata and paragliding. The mountains around La Clusaz are criss-crossed with tracks and paths, so there is always somewhere new to discover.
The beautiful lakeside town of Annecy is just 30 minutes away by car, and is a great destination for a day out. The lake is said to be the cleanest in Europe and in the summer it’s a lovely place for water sports, cycling, swimming or you can just hire a boat and explore the lakeside beaches.
