The story of Chalet Cinq Moutons

So that you can really understand this incredible luxury chalet in the Swiss Alps, let us tell you its story…

We have to turn back the clock 20 years, to the day Riki and Motty, who first owned this charming haven, visited the beautiful area of Val Ferret, and immediately fell in love with it.

In the winter of 2002, they decided to build a place where their whole family could meet. A place where they could spend unforgettable moments with their loved ones.

They devoted all their energy to building their dream house. And so, a few years later, the prestigious Chalet Cinq Moutons was created.

And their gamble has paid off: “This unique house, in the most beautiful place in the world, became their second home where they spent the best time of their lives with their family.”

The Perry family have now decided to rent out this fabulous property, allowing everyone to experience the unique and memorable family holiday they have enjoyed over the years. “We are very happy to share this love with people who appreciate nature and peace of mind” they say.

A luxury chalet in a dream setting

As well as being one of the most beautiful luxury chalets in the Swiss Alps, Chalet Cinq Moutons is located in a magical natural setting.

Owners Riki and Motty paid particular attention to the outdoor spaces to make this place a tranquil refuge where guests can reconnect with nature.

The grounds are full of enchanting spaces: a botanical garden, a vegetable patch, sculpture trails and places to relax. Let’s go and visit some of them…

The flower garden and relaxation areas

The lush garden covers almost 2,000 square metres and is an invitation to stroll around. In spring, 300 species of Alpine flowers and plants slowly awaken and fill the landscape. Among them are some rare species such as the Venus hoof, the Martagon lily and the famous Edelweiss.

As you follow the winding paths, you will also discover three natural ponds, several small waterfalls and a few areas where you can sit and relax, meditate or simply admire the magnificence of nature.

In the lower part of the garden, where a small river meanders, you will find a picnic area where you can share a meal with the family. There are also hammocks suspended between the trees in the forest. Make yourself comfortable and let yourself be lulled by the sound of the flowing water. It’s a treat for all the senses!

The vegetable garden

As you stroll through this verdant garden, you will also discover a pretty little vegetable patch that evolves with the seasons. You’ll find salads, carrots, beetroot, courgettes, fresh herbs, rhubarb, celery, and leeks. There are all kinds of fresh, organic vegetables grown here, so you can prepare delicious dishes!

The sculpture trail

You never know what you might find when you walk through this paradise. As you continue to explore this enchanting garden, you can admire a trail of statues, created by the owner himself, Motty, over the years.

He was inspired to create these works of art by the nature around him. It seemed obvious to him to place them in the environment from which they originated, thus giving life to an open-air museum.

Here are just some of the sculptures that can be found while wandering around the grounds:

When you arrive, you can’t fail to notice the presence of five life-size sheep sculptures standing in the garden. These stone and metal sculptures, made by an Israeli artist, are now the emblem and guardians of the house. It’s easy to see why its name translates to “Five Sheep Chalet”…

And the dream doesn’t end there… When the house was built, Riki and Motty wanted it to be a warm and cosy place. A friendly and welcoming home where they could spend precious time with the family. From the layout to the equipment and the decor, every detail was carefully thought out to make this luxury chalet a true corner of paradise.
