Chalet Nivicare...
Set at the end of a quiet lane, Chalet Nivicare enjoys a peaceful, wooded setting, with wonderful mountain views and the sounds of the river.
This elegant and traditional house is, however, just a five-minute walk from the resort centre and ski lift, which leads to Le Bettex and, from there, to the vast Évasion Mont-Blanc ski area. The shuttle bus that runs through the valley stops just 500m from the door.
Outside the winter season, guests can enjoy the extensive network of cycle and walking paths that criss-cross this splendid region. Just 7km away, Lake Passy is the perfect spot for swimming, windsurfing, hiking or simply a family picnic with views of Mont Blanc.
If you fancy some pampering, head to the thermal baths at Saint-Gervais, which offer treatments and massages. The village also has an ice rink, a casino and a leisure centre.
After a day of activities in the mountains, you’ll be happy to return to the comfort of Chalet Nivicare, which is a delight at any time of year.

Guest reviews
“A real gem in spring — we'd happily return at any time of year”
We came to Nivicare for a week in May, just the two of us, looking for somewhere quiet to slow down and explore, and it was exactly the right choice. With the snow gone, the whole valley opens up: we spent our days walking straight from the door, or driving around to lovely surroundings close by from Chamonix to Annecy.
The chalet is peaceful and beautifully kept, and after a day out it was the perfect spot to rest: coffee on the terrace, birdsong, and nothing but mountains and trees. We loved being able to walk into the village centre whenever we felt like a meal out or a stroll, then come back to complete calm.
“We'll absolutely be back!”
Five of us, including three teenagers, stayed at Nivicare for a week of skiing in March and we couldn't fault a thing. With everyone carrying gear, being able to walk straight to the Saint-Gervais / Megève slopes was a huge win, no shuttles, no parking stress, just skis on and go.
There was plenty of room for all of us to spread out, home cinema board games and table football for our kids so they never got bored! .
What really sold it for the whole family was how walkable everything is. We swapped a ski afternoon for the ice rink day and walked into the village centre for dinner that evening: easy. Snowed almost every day, true to the chalet's name.
“Thank you for a wonderful stay!”
We spent a week at Chalet Nivicare in March with our two children, and it was everything we'd hoped for. The location is unbeatable: we could walk to the ski lifts with our skis on, which made the morning routine so much easier with kids in tow. Coming home for lunch and heading back out was no trouble at all.
The chalet itself is warm and beautifully kept, and that view of the Mont Joly and the Dômes de Miage from the windows never got old, the kids loved spotting the peaks at breakfast. On our rest day we walked into the village for lunch then went down with the cable car to les thermes for a spa day, all without touching the car once.
Quiet, surrounded by trees, with the sound of the Bonnant nearby: it's a proper mountain retreat that still has everything within reach. We've already started planning next March.

The OVO Network Review
Designed to comfortably accommodate up to 14 guests, Chalet Nivicare combines areas where you can get together with quiet corners, both indoors and outdoors, allowing everyone to enjoy the mountains at their own pace.
This elegant and traditional house is also just a five-minute walk from the resort centre and ski lift, which leads to Le Bettex and, from there, to the vast Évasion Mont-Blanc ski area, allowing you to quickly access the ski slopes in the winter.
Its spacious living area is the natural hub of the chalet. Conversation is easy on the large sofa facing the fireplace, and you can take your time over meals at the dining table in the conservatory.
The terraces and garden are scattered with places to relax, whether it’s lunch under the pergola, a coffee in the sun or an aperitif in the sheltered outdoor lounge. From June to September, you can enjoy the swimming pool, discreetly located at the end of the garden.
Enjoy a game of table tennis, a spot of reading on a sunbed or a family meal – in good weather, you'll want to make the most of the outside space.
The chalet also offers plenty of indoor spaces dedicated to leisure. The home cinema promises some wonderful evenings, whilst table football and the wine cellar provide plenty of opportunities to spend time together.
What appeals to us is the opportunity to get everyone together around simple activities, without having to leave the property.
The property’s seven bedrooms offer a cosy retreat for everyone, with several boasting a private balcony overlooking Mont Joly and the Dômes de Miage. The self-contained flat is a valuable asset for ensuring the privacy of a couple, grandparents or friends who might prefer to have their own space, whilst still being part of life at the chalet.
Chalet Nivicare is much more than just a large holiday home. It is a place where days are spent swimming, enjoying evenings by the fire, dining under the pergola and sharing special moments, in a setting that makes you want to return, season after season.

From the owner
Jan Z.
When we were looking for a name for this chalet, we wanted a word that would say it all without saying a word. We found it in Latin: nivicare is a verb derived from nivis (snow) and the suffix -icare.
Literally, it means “to snow repeatedly” That is precisely the spirit of this place: the promise of a bountiful winter, and the gentler prospect of returning time and time again.
What first drew me here was the view.
From morning to night, Mont Joly and the Dômes de Miage watch over the chalet, changing colour as the hours pass.
Below you can hear the Bonnant, the stream that runs through the valley, and all around you are the trees, the tranquillity and that scent of wood and mountains that you find nowhere else.
But the real luxury of Nivicare is its location.
Everything is within walking distance.
Access to the ski slopes of Saint-Gervais and Megève is just a few minutes’ walk away: with your skis on, you’re already on your way. The village centre, with its shops and restaurants, is just as easy to reach, without ever having to get in the car.
And on days when you’re not skiing, the swimming pool and ice rink are also within walking distance.
I think it’s this balance that makes the chalet so special: unspoilt nature, peaks stretching as far as the eye can see, and yet the convenience of having everything within easy reach. You come for the fresh air; you stay for that rare feeling of being both at the heart of the mountains and at the heart of village life.
I absolutely fell in love with Nivicare. I sincerely hope you will too.
Jan
