Les Gets piste map for skiing and snowboarding
The ski resort of Les Gets is an excellent family ski holiday choice. Choose from a variety of lift passes for all budgets (even cheaper when you book online).
Absolute beginners might like to start out with the P'tite Glisse pass for Les Gets ski resort only, where there are ski schools and plenty of pistes to keep everyone happy. Those ready to tackle blues and beyond could easily enjoy Les Gets all week, but might also like to opt for the Les Gets-Morzine lift pass, which includes access to 120km of ski pistes and 48 lifts over the two resorts. For adventurers seeking even more, the entire Portes du Soleil ski lift pass is also available from the Les Gets lift offices.
Families looking for a quieter ski day might enjoy Mont Chéry ski lift and pistes. It's a standalone peak which is often overlooked by everyone keen to head to Morzine via Les Perrièers or Chavannes ski lifts, or to the Portes du Soleil via the Ardent telecabin or the Pleney lift. And don't forget about the Little Train, which is a free and novel way to be transported around Les Gets, from Les Chavannes to Mont-Chéry, at any time of the day.

The Portes du Soleil ski area opens up a further twelve resorts, including five in Switzerland! You won't need your passport to ski into Switzerland, nor Swiss Francs as the restaurants accept euros.
The infamous Swiss Wall is one way into the Swiss resorts — via a very steep and ungroomed ski slope for advanced and expert skiers. If you're ready to try it, take the Chavanette drag lift to the border, then head for the black. If you prefer an easier way into Switzerland, take the Mossettes chairlift, which has blue and red pistes on the Swiss side. If you're keen to see the Swiss Wall but don't want to ski it, you can also catch the Chavanette chairlift down on the Swiss side, and watch the mayhem unfold on the snowy bumps below.
If you fancy a change from the many mountain restaurants in the area, why not ski into Switzerland for lunch?
Remember to check the weather forecast and Les Gets webcams and Morzine webcams before you head out for the day so you're fully prepared!
