This former alpine farmhouse in Les Gets is now a charming ski-in, ski-out chalet in the heart of the countryside, with stunning views of Mont Blanc. You'll also find warm rustic charm and contemporary wellness facilities, including a sauna and a Nordic bath.
It's just a five-minute drive to the village of Les Gets, where you’ll find all the shops, bars, restaurants and facilities you'd expect from a major resort, as well as a variety of activities at any time of year.
In winter, you’ll be ideally placed to make the most of the skiing season. With the Chamois run passing right below the chalet, you can ski straight to and from the chalet.
Outside the ski season, several hiking trails pass close to the chalet, including routes to Mont Chéry. Lac des Écoles, less than 3km from the chalet, has a swimming area and a water park.
The Portes du Soleil Multipass card gives guests access to a wide range of local activities at reduced prices.
About the property…
La Ferme de Chry is a former mountain farmhouse that has been renovated to accommodate 15 guests. It has seven bedrooms and six bathrooms.
The ground floor features a spacious kitchen with a dining table and a wood-burning stove, as well as a cosy lounge with an L-shaped sofa, several armchairs and a fireplace. When you eat at the dining table you'll enjoy wonderful views of the Mont-Blanc mountains. If you'd prefer to eat al fresco, there is another table on the covered outdoor terrace. After dinner, you can enjoy the views from the Nordic hot tub. The first double bedroom has a television and an en-suite shower room. There is a separate WC.
On the first floor are four more bedrooms. Three of them are double rooms each with en-suite shower rooms, and two with televisions. The third room is a bunk room for four. You’ll find the sauna on this floor, a bathroom with a shower and bath, as well as a separate toilet. A long balcony runs the length of one side of the chalet.
On the second floor, the chalet’s two remaining bedrooms are tucked under the eaves. One of these rooms can be set up with a double bed or two single beds, depending on your needs. The other bedroom has four single beds, which children will particularly enjoy. These bedrooms share a shower room with twin washbasins, as well as a separate toilet.
On the practical side, La Ferme de Chry has a ski store with a heated boot dryer and a laundry room with a washing machine and tumble dryer. There is outdoor parking for up to five vehicles.

La Ferme de Chry is a secluded, ski-in, ski-out chalet just 2.7km from the resort of Les Gets.
Les Gets, in Haute-Savoie, sits between Morzine, Taninges and Samoëns. About an hour from Geneva, this traditional village is surrounded by forests, mountain pastures and peaks. Its bustling centre, shops, restaurants and heritage sites, such as the Museum of Mechanical Music, make it a popular year-round destination for families and mountain lovers.
In winter, Les Gets is linked to the vast Portes du Soleil ski area, which boasts 600km of varied slopes across France and Switzerland. The Chavannes and Mont Chéry sectors offer remarkable views of Mont Blanc. Cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, tobogganing, an ice rink, dog sleigh rides and play areas add to the winter activities in this family-friendly area.
During the rest of the year, the region provides a wide range of outdoor activities. The trails leading to Mont Chéry or the Pointe de Nyon offer magnificent panoramic views. Swimming and water sports are available at Lac des Écoles and the Morzine Aquatic Centre, just a few minutes’ drive away. The resort also has a golf course, and its bike park is an international benchmark for mountain biking.

In winter, from November 1 to March 3, snow tyres or chains are mandatory to access the chalet, in accordance with the Mountain Law, A ski slope runs along the road leading to the chalet, so the last 150 meters of the drive are closed, so you'll need to park your car 100m below the chalet in a dedicated parking lot.
Before arrival, the property owners require all guests to complete a €1,000 security deposit card authentication for any damage or excess cleaning that may be identified after departure.

La Ferme de Chry, a former farmhouse dating from 1831, has been carefully renovated to offer a ski-in, ski-out holiday retreat where traditional charm meets contemporary comfort.
With plenty of room for up to 15 guests, it invites you to get together in a setting that has retained all its Alpine character, with the Mont-Blanc mountains on the horizon.
We were immediately struck by the warmth of the living areas: the kitchen, where the wood-burning stove crackles, and the TV-free lounge, which invites you to gather round the fireplace after a day in the mountains. The large windows frame the stunning scenery, and a covered terrace is perfect for al fresco dining in the warmer months.
Outside, you can relax in the Nordic bath as you admire the sweeping view of the mountains.
We particularly like the versatility of the seven bedrooms at La Ferme de Chry, which cater equally well for couples, groups of friends and families with children, thanks to a mix of dormitories, double rooms and twin rooms.
In addition to the Nordic bath, the chalet features a sauna – the perfect way to unwind after a hike or a day on the slopes. The long balcony is the ideal place to enjoy the serenity of the mountains and the unobstructed views of the Alpine landscape.

La Ferme de Chry sits in lush meadows facing Mont Blanc, at an altitude of 1,400 metres in the Mont Chéry area of Les Gets. The setting is magnificent, with the majestic panorama of Mont Blanc unspoilt by anything: there are no other properties within 500 metres, and no electricity pylons or power lines to mar this unique atmosphere.
Just 2.7km from the village centre, the chalet was originally built as an Alpine farm in 1831. It was completely rebuilt between 2015 and 2017: only the walls and the roof structure were retained.
We worked exclusively with local craftsmen from the village, because they are passionate about their craft and committed to preserving local traditions, and used local materials as far as possible. This approach allowed the property to retain its character and, combined with its view of Mont Blanc, is what makes the place so unique.
At the same time, we haven’t overlooked our guests’ comfort: the bedrooms (all equipped with en-suite bath/showerrooms and TVs) are as comfortable as they are spacious, and particular attention has been paid to insulation to ensure everyone feels at home.
After a day’s skiing or hiking, you can rest and relax in the sauna and Nordic bath. A selection of about 50 DVDs caters for all ages and tastes (the complete James Bond, Star Wars, Louis de Funès, Madagascar and Rio 2 collections, amongst others), and there’s a selection of board games.
In winter, this is one of the few chalets in the resort offering direct access to the slopes: in the right snow conditions you can ski to and back from the red ‘Les Cabris’ run. As the road is closed for the last 150 metres (because the piste crosses it), you’ll need to park your car 100 metres below the chalet in a designated car park (please note: snow chains are compulsory)
On your arrival and on the day of your departure, a snowcat driven by our concierge will take you the 100 metres between the car park and the chalet, and, most importantly, will transport your luggage and shopping. Outside the ski season, a tarmac road means you can drive right up to the chalet.
