Enjoy the great outdoors in Le Grand Bornand

When the snow melts, visitors still flock to Le Grand Bornand to go walking and hiking in the mountains which surround this beautiful farming village. There are plenty of hiking and biking trails of various gradients, and if you don't fancy the steep climb to the top, just hop on the Rosay cablecar or the Lachat chairlift, and enjoy the incredible views before you walk back down. Trail maps for cyclists and walkers are available from the tourist office.

There are many other summer sports available if you want to make the most of the mountains. Try paragliding, canyoning, via ferrata, rafting or horse-riding. There are also climbing schools and nordic walking groups. Many of the mountain restaurants are open in the summer too, or you could just stock up on local bread and cheese and have a picnic.
