With its tranquil, south-facing location, Chalet Happyview is just a short drive through the forest from the main road, which gives you great access to the other Aravis resorts of La Clusaz and Manigod. The shops, restaurants and bars of Le Grand Bornand are 1.6km from the chalet, and the ski bus stops just 600m away.
In the summer, the ski slopes are replaced with lush meadows and a vast network of hiking and biking trails - it's a great time to visit.
There's always plenty going on in Le Grand Bornand, which has a packed programme of events throughout the summer and winter seasons. There's also a great choice of shops, bars and restaurants and a weekly market, where you can pick up local cheeses, meats and preserves.

There are four bedrooms on this floor: two form a family suite, comprising of a double room and a bunk room, which share a shower room. The 'mazot' or storage room in the garden has been converted into a gym, where you can work out in privacy.
There are four individually-designed bedrooms on this floor, all of which have access to the balcony which wraps around the chalet. the first room has a double bed, bunks and an en suite shower room. Another is a double with en suite shower room. The third double bedroom also has a dressing area, and the fourth room has an en suite bathroom. There is a laundry room with a washer and dryer on this floor, as well as a separate WC.
The impressive main living area is on the second floor, where it makes the most of the views and access to the garden. A huge three-sided sofa surrounds an open fire, for cosy nights in, and there's a huge dining table where everyone can sit down and eat together. Picture windows flood this floor with light, and open on to a furnished covered terrace, where you can enjoy coffee and soak up the view.
Cooking is a pleasure in the sleek modern kitchen, which has a breakfast bar and everything you need to cook up a hearty meal. If you're catering for a crowd, there's a useful second kitchen with a large 80cm oven and induction hob as well as more preparation space.
There's another stylish double bedroom on this floor, which has a large en suite bathroom with a bath and separate shower. There's also a separate WC.

When you stay at Chalet Happyview, you're just a 2km drive from the pistes and just a short walk from the ski bus stop.
The ski bus, which also serves La Clusaz, stops just 60m from the chalet, and it's free to use with your Aravis ski pass. This pass covers more than 220km of pristine pistes, in the resorts of Le Grand Bornand, La Clusaz and Manigod, so there's plenty of challenge for skiers and boarders of all abilities. There are also plenty of cross-country trails.
Non-skiers won't be bored either - try hiking or snowshoeing, paragliding, hot-air ballooning, ice-skating or ice-climbing. Le Grand Bornand boasts the Famille Plus mark, ensuring that there is always plenty of entertainment and activities for even the youngest visitors.
In the summer, a network of walking and biking trails criss-cross the slopes, and you can pick up a route map for either at the tourist office. Well presented high-end chalet with well stocked kitchen and amenities. Pool was able to be made hotter on request. The bedrooms were wonderful - as were the ensuites. Was very impressed with the cinema, gym and sauna. Access was a little difficult but had no real trouble. The gravel part of the track up to the chalet became slippery in the snow. Access to the chalet isn’t well directed on navigation apps. So just check that before you arrive!
“Cosy and modern chalet”
The chalet is very cosy, modern, well arranged. We had a great family stay.
“A very happy Thanksgiving”
Beautiful location, perfect for large groups. We had a great time celebrating Thanksgiving with friends and family. Cant emphasize enough how amazing the views are, and constantly changing through out the day. Only about 1hr for day trips to Annecy or Chamonix. Great trip, would recommend for any large group.
