The property...

Entrance to the chalet is on the lower ground floor, where you will also find the garage, the fabulous counter-current swimming pool, ski store, sauna and massage room.

The first floor is all about the bedrooms, all five of which are en suite. The first is a double with a bathroom and dressing room. Bedroom 2 is a double with shower room and dressing room and bedroom 3 is a double with shower room, dressing room and private balcony. Bedroom 4 has two twin beds on a mezzanine floor, as wella as a shower room and wheelchair access. Bedroom 5 is designed with kids in mind, with two sets of bunk beds - one either side of the shower room - and a separate toilet.

Go up another floor to the open plan living area, with a beautiful well-equipped kitchen, dining area and seating area. The stylish sitting room boasts a suspended fireplace and the best views. It’s a great place to end the day with friends, and if some of your party fancy an early night, they are far enough away not to be disturbed!

The final mezzanine floor overlooks the main living floor, and is accessible via stairs from the third floor. Here you’ll find a second sitting room and TV area - a great place for youngsters to watch TV and hang out in their own space. There’s also a super swing seat at the bottom of the stairs - a lovely place to sit and read.

The large furnished terrace is a great place to eat in warmer weather - on winter evenings, wrap up and watch for shooting stars with a glass of vin chaud!

About the area...

Chocoon Lodge overlooks the popular La Balme ski area in La Clusaz in the Hameau de la Morraz,  just 2km from the ski lift.

If you'd rather leave the car at home, you can catch the ski bus just 300m from your door ! The ski bus will also take you into La Clusaz, as well as to Le Grand Bornand and the Col de La Croix-Fry in Manigod, where more fabulous skiing awaits you. The great value Aravis ski pass covers 220km of pistes and 95 lifts - more than enough to keep skiers and boarders of all abilities busy.

Cross-country skiers and snowshoe walkers will find great terrain at the nearby Lac des Confins and the Glieres plateau. In La Clusaz village, you'll find an ice rink, heated indoor and outdoor pools, spa centres and a cinema, as well as a wide choice of shops, bars and restaurants.

If you're looking for a challenge away from the pistes, try sledging, dog-sledding and sleigh rides, all within a few miles of your luxury chalet.

In the summer, you can pack in the sporting action or relax on the terrace at your luxury La Clusaz chalet.

There are plenty of walks from Chocoon Lodge, or you can take the lift up into the mountains for some high-altitude hiking or biking. There's a tennis club and riding centre just up the road at Lac des Confins, and other activities within easy reach of La Clusaz include white-water rafting, canyoning, via ferrata and para-gliding.

The beautiful medieval town of Annecy, with a wide selection of unique shops and restaurants, is less than 30 minutes drive away. Its lake, the cleanest in Europe, is a great place for swimming and water sports, or you could just hire a boat and explore some of the peaceful lakeside beaches.
