Chalet Bella Cha

The chalet is just a few minutes' drive (3km) from La Clusaz on the road up to the "Chez Arthur" restaurant on the Crêt du Merle road, which is regularly cleared of snow in the winter. However, the altitude (1300m) means you should equip your car with snow chains in the winter.

Chalet Bella Cha also has a TV room, a games room and a ski room, as well as two home office areas, making it a great choice for a group who want to spend some time in the mountains and work remotely.

About the property ...

This spacious and elegant 5 star chalet is set over two main floors, plus the main entrance and garage.

As you enter, you'll find the ski room with plenty of storage and heated boot rack, and access to the double garage. A beautiful steel and glass stairway leads down to a lower floor, where you'll find a large hallway with a desks for remote working. There are also doors to the cosy TV room, a separate WC and the wine cellar.

The fabulous, light-filled living area is at the front of the house. The dining area is surrounded by full-height windows and doors to the balcony, where you can enjoy an aperitif before dinner. A stunning three-sided fireplace separates the dining area from the comfortable seating area, where oversized soft sofas are the perfect place to relax in front of the television in the evenings.

The beautiful kitchen has everything you need (including two ovens) to cook up a mountain feast, and there's a central island with a breakfast bar where you can grab a quick snack before you head out. There are glass doors from the kitchen to the sunny terrace, where you can enjoy an al fresco meal or a barbecue on warmer days.

The first of the bedrooms is on this floor - it's a double room with a TV, an en suite shower room and doors to a balcony. There are three more bedrooms on the floor below, including the double-aspect master suite which as a double bed, a dressing area and a shower room with a separate WC. It also has doors to the garden.

The final two bedrooms are double rooms, which share a separate bathroom and WC on the landing. You'll also find the games room with a treadmill and table football,  and two offices on this floor, as well as the laundry room with a washing machine and a dryer.

About the area ...

Nestled between Le Crêt du Merle, Etale and Beauregard, you are just a few metres away from some great skiing when you stay at Chalet Bella Cha.

The La Ruade piste, a blue run that descends into La Clusaz, is just a short walk away, and at the end of the day, competent skiers can ski through the trees straight to the back door, whilst less confident skiers can return to their starting point and walk back to the chalet.

Just minutes from the La Clusaz telecabine, and with the ski bus stopping 200m away, you have access to 220km of pistes and 95 lifts, all covered by the Aravis ski pass, so you will never be short of somewhere new to explore.

Chalet Bella Cha overlooks the Beauregard plateau, which is a great choice for cross-country skiers, and there's plenty to do for non-skiers too. There's an ice rink and cinema in La Clusaz, or you could try sledging, snow-shoe walking, dog-sledding and sleigh rides.

If you're looking for the ultimate in relaxation, let your cares float away in the village's heated outdoor pool and spa. Whatever you choose to do, at the end of the day there will be a warm welcome waiting at Chalet Bella Cha.

There's no shortage of activities in the summer, either! Hike into the Col des Aravis, or let the nearby telecabine ferry you and your bike to the top of the mountain, so you can come back down at your own pace. Other activities available in the area include horse-riding, climbing, via ferrata and paragliding.

The mountains around La Clusaz are criss-crossed with tracks and paths, so take a picnic and make a day of it. Four electric bikes are provided at Chalet Bella Cha - they are a great way to explore the area. If you just want to relax, why not soak up the sun from the balcony or the terrace while you admire the fabulous view of Beauregard, or visit the beautiful swimming pool complex in La Clusaz.

Later, you can make the most of the long summer evenings at a local restaurant, or fire up the barbecue on the terrace at Chalet Bella Cha.
