With its sweeping views, furnished terrace and outdoor hot tub, a holiday at Chalet Alpaga Cosima allows you to enjoy both the activities and the tranquillity of the mountains, whenever you choose to stay.
This contemporary chalet is just 700 metres from the centre of Châtel, a popular winter resort on the edge of the vast Portes du Soleil ski area. Surrounded by greenery, Chalet Alpaga Cosima offers beautiful views of the Abondance Valley and the mountains of the Chablais massif.
The village is less than a 10-minute walk away and offers a wide range of shops, bars and restaurants, as well as two cinemas, an ice rink and a bowling alley.
In winter, you can drive to the Super Châtel ski lifts in just five minutes, or catch the shuttle bus after a three-minute walk to the stop. Once you are on the slopes, you can easily ski to the Swiss ski resorts.
Outside the winter season, the region is a true paradise for walkers, cyclists and nature lovers. And in the hot weather, you can cool off with water sports on the River Dranse or enjoy a family picnic at Lake Vonnes.

About the property …
Chalet Alpaga Cosima is a three-storey, semi-detached chalet for up to 10 guests, with five bedrooms and four bath/shower rooms.
The garden level features two double bedrooms, each with an en-suite shower room, one of which also includes a toilet. A separate toilet is also available. There is also a charming reading room, complete with books, games and DVDs. There are cosy armchairs on the corner terrace as well as a lovely hot tub with unobstructed views of the mountains. This leads out onto a flat garden.
The ground floor comprises an open-plan living area, combining a bright lounge with sofas and a television, a large dining table and a well-equipped kitchen. Doors open onto a terrace featuring a second dining table and armchairs, where you can relax and enjoy the mountains.
On the first floor are three further bedrooms. A double bedroom and a bunk room for three children share a bathroom with a bath and a separate toilet. The final bedroom is a magnificent master suite with a large double bed, a walk-in wardrobe, a desk, a shower room with a toilet, as well as a private balcony.
On the practical side, Chalet Alpaga Cosima has a covered garage with skis holder and boot warmer, and two outdoor parking spaces, as well as a fully equipped laundry room with a washing machine and tumble dryer.
About the area…
Châtel is in the beautiful Abondance Valley, on the French-Swiss border, and just 1 hour 30 minutes from Geneva Airport. This friendly village is known for its traditional charm and architecture, while also offering a good range of shops, restaurants and modern facilities. Châtel holds the Famille Plus label for its children’s entertainment programme and family-friendly infrastructure.
In winter, this Portes du Soleil resort is connected to Avoriaz, Torgon, and Morgins via several ski lifts, and its altitude ensures good snow coverage. The resort features a snowpark, a boardercross course and a beginner area, as well as slopes for intermediate and advanced skiers, and multiple ski touring routes around the village.
During the rest of the year, cyclists can enjoy the surrounding mountain roads, while Châtel’s bike park offers 20 mountain biking trails. Hikers can explore approximately 400km of trails across 48 circuits. Lake Vonnes, just 1km from the village, is perfect for fishing and paddleboarding. Other activities include climbing, paragliding, via ferrata, tennis, rafting, kayaking, and the Fantasticable zip line which soars over the valley at 100km/h.
