This newly-renovated apartment on the 2nd floor of a historic building overlooks the centre of Samoëns and the surrounding mountains.
You’ll find plenty of bars and restaurants in the centre of this unspoilt village, as well as delis, supermarkets, and ski and bike rental. The region offers many activities all year round, including hiking, climbing and several whitewater sports. You’ll be just 1.3km away from the Lac aux Dames and its leisure centre, and less than 640m from the Grand Massif Express ski lift.
A free shuttle bus stops just 50m away from the apartment, which will take you to the pistes at Morillon and St Jean de Sixt. Part of the Grand Massif ski area, Samoëns gives access to more than 265km of pistes with a great lift network. Thanks to its central location, Tigerlily offers direct access to the region’s full range of activities, whatever time of year you decide to stay.
About the property …
Tigerlily is a fully-renovated apartment in the very heart of the station of Samoëns. It accommodates 6 people in 3 twin / double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
The open-plan living area, flooded with natural light, will be the first thing you'll notice when you enter the property. Relax on one of the sofas and enjoy the view whilst other guests prepare a well-deserved meal in the kitchen. Keen cooks will find everything they need during their stay, including a large oven, induction hobs and a coffee machine. The dining table is set in the middle of the open-plan living area and will be the setting for many delicious meals and entertaining conversations.
A corridor leads to the sleeping area, which has two twin bedrooms enjoying direct access to a balcony, and another double bedroom. The latter includes a king size bed and its own private shower room, while the other two bedrooms share a bathroom, which has a bathtub and a double washbasin. You’ll also find a WC next to the entrance.
To enjoy a car-free stay, you will be able to park your car outside the main entrance and forget it until the end of your holiday!
About the area …
Whether you're visiting in summer or winter, you'll find a myriad of things to do around Tigerlily, in the very heart of the resort of Samoëns.
The ski lifts connect with the Grand Massif resorts of Flaine, Morillon, Les Carroz and Sixt, giving you easy access to 265km of great skiing, with plenty of challenges for all abilities. Snowfall is regular and abundant, and there are three jam parks for freestylers.
In the summer, there's great hiking and biking in the mountains, as well as watersports on the Giffre river. The Lac aux Dames leisure area (2km) is a great day out for families - there's a beach area for swimming as well as horse-riding, treetop adventure area, Segway, electric skateboards and much more. Youngsters can enjoy the pump track, play areas, inflatables and trampolines, and trout fishing is free for those staying in the area.
The village of Sixt-Fer-a-Cheval, just six minutes drive away (6km), is worth a visit - said to be one of the most beautiful villages in France, it's set in a natural amphitheatre of high limestone cliffs. It's also the start of some great white-water rafting and home to a via ferrata course.
Those who like gardening should pay a visit to the Jaysinia Alpine Gardens, which features plants from mountainous regions across the world.

Once a home to skilled stonecutters, the traditional Alpine village of Samoens is now the gateway to some wonderful skiing, walking and biking in the Grand Massif.
It’s a great choice if you’re looking for a ski resort where you can relax after an exhilarating day in the mountains.

The OVO Network Review
Tigerlily is a shining gem at the top of a historic building, in the centre of Samoëns. Thanks to its 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, up to 6 guests can enjoy the central location of this apartment.
The entrance is through an open-plan living area, which is made up of a modern, well-equipped kitchen, a living room with sofas and a TV, and a dining table. With four doors opening onto wraparound balconies, you’ll be able to enjoy a serene view of the old town and the surrounding mountains from anywhere in the room.
For sleeping arrangements, you’ll find 2 twin bedrooms, with their own private access to a balcony, and 1 double bedroom, with a queen size bed and an en-suite shower room. There is also a separate bathroom with a bathtub and two sinks, and a WC next to the entrance.
There’s one parking space outside, where you can leave your vehicle and enjoy the traffic-free centre of the resort. With the shuttle bus stopping only 350m away, you can even explore the whole Grand Massif without needing a car.
Tigerlily is a great central base that allows you to revel in all the activities of the area, whichever the season of your stay.
Please note that the apartment is on the 2nd floor without lift, which may be inconvenient to people with reduced mobility.

Tigerlily is our very loved apartment in the centre of Samoens village. It has the most incredible uninterrupted views of the surrounding mountains.
The views and the light are the first thing you’ll notice when you arrive. The living area has 3 glass doors to the south facing balcony, one door to the East balcony, and a big window in the kitchen area facing down the Giffre valley to the West. Every bedroom has an amazing view.
Two bedrooms have glass doors onto the East balcony.
The apartment occupies the whole of the second floor of the building. The building itself is a historic building built by the famous stonemasons of Samoens to accommodate their workers.
The location is exceptional. It’s on the Southern edge of the village centre.
The ski-bus stops opposite, the Grand Massive Express gondola is only 600m so you might choose to walk sometimes. We have a supermarket over the road, and 50m away is the nearest bar.
The apartment has a contemporary feel with elements that link to the historic nature of the building. Comfort, relaxation and enjoyment are key.
The sofas are big enough to lay out on, the dining chairs are comfortable enough to spend a whole evening sitting in. The mattresses are all deep, pocket spring pillow tops. The laundry room has a 3rd toilet.
Everything is intended to make it an easy and relaxing place to be.
