About the property ...

Up to 8 guests can enjoy a wonderful mountain holiday at Les Doliges - a second-floor apartment with three bedrooms and three bath/shower rooms.

When you arrive at Les Doliges you can take the lift or the stairs up to the second floor. You'll arrive in the hallway, which leads in to the spacious, open-plan living area. The fully-equipped kitchen has all the equipment you could possible need to cook up some delicious meals for your group - including fondue and raclette machines, a Nespresso coffee maker and a fridge freezer. There's also a dishwasher to make the clearing up easier!

Enjoy your dinner at the large dining table in front of the fire, before relaxing in the cosy seating area - there are two large sofas and two chairs in front of the TV. Doors open from here on to the furnished L-shaped balcony, where you can relax with a coffee and enjoy the fresh mountain air.

There are three bedrooms, all of which open on to the balcony. Two of them have kingsize double beds, en suite shower rooms and separate WCs, while the third room has two bunk beds: one double bunk bed (140x190cms) and one single bunk bed (90x190cms). There's also a bathroom and a separate WC.

About the area ...

Les Gets and the neighbouring resorts of Morzine and Avoriaz are in the heart of the Portes du Soleil, which has 12 resorts spanning the French/Swiss border. With 650km of pistes, there is plenty of scope for skiers and boarders of all ages and abilities.

If you're not a skier, there's plenty going on in Les Gets, and the nearby resort of Morzine also offers indoor and outdoor ice skating rinks, which are often host to ice hockey matches, and the local cinema shows films in English.

The more adventurous might like to try snowmobiling or ice-climbing on some of the area's frozen waterfalls, or discover the area in a more sedate manner on a sleigh ride. Other ways to have fun include snowshoeing and sledging, while the Indiana adventure park in Morzine offers a variety of activities for all ages.

As spring comes to the Portes du Soleil, a whole new range of activities opens up to visitors. Lush green slopes replace the pistes, and the mountains become a haven for hikers, bikers and thrill-seekers. Take a picnic, and make a day of it! The lifts will transport you and your bike up the mountains, leaving you to come back down at your leisure.

For a change of scene, visit the nearby resorts of Morzine/Avoriaz or the village of Montriond and its lake, which is perfect for a gentle stroll and a picnic, or perhaps a bit of kayaking.

Les Gets and Morzine have earned the Famille Plus status for their excellent childcare and entertainment, so this area is a great choice for young families.

There are superb water parks in the town and in neighbouring Avoriaz, as well as two summer sledging runs, while the Indiana adventure park has a range of assault courses to suit all ages. Golfers will find excellent courses in Les Gets and Avoriaz.

Other activities in the area include climbing, rafting, via ferrata, canyoning, mini-golf, quad bikes, and fishing.
