This beautiful, ground-floor apartment for four is part of a small, recently-constructed hamlet of properties less than 2km from the centre of Les Gets.There's also a supermarket just a short walk from the property.
Unusually for an apartment, there is a garden with a large hot tub, as well as the furnished, wraparound balcony.
it's in a great location, just 500m from the Perrières slopes, the popular all-season toboggan run and a supermarket. And with the shuttle bus stopping just outside the hamlet, you'll have no trouble getting around to explore this beautiful area.
Les Gets is part of the Portes du Soleil ski area, which covers 12 resorts in France and Switzerland and 650km of pistes. In the summer it's popular with hikers and cyclists, and there's a leisure lake less than 3km away, where you can enjoy an inflatable obstacle course as well as swimming.
About the property ...
This stylish apartment sleeps four people in two bedrooms, both of which have en suite shower rooms.
At the front of the property, which is served by a lift, you'll find an elegant, open-plan living area which is filled with light, thanks to the three sets of glass doors which open on to a wraparound balcony. There's a well-equipped kitchen with an oven, microwave and induction hob, and a dining table with views of the pistes. A washing machine and dryer are also provided.
After dinner, you can enjoy a coffee on the balcony under the stars or retire to the cosy sofa to watch TV. The sofa can also be used as a bed for extra guests.
There are two bedrooms, each with large double beds, televisions and en suite shower rooms. There is a separate WC.
A ski locker is provided for guests' use, and there is an allocated parking space in the garage. Guests wishing to bring more than one car can park in the nearby public car park, which is free.
About the area ...
Les Gets and the neighbouring resorts of Morzine and Avoriaz are in the heart of the Portes du Soleil, which has 12 resorts spanning the French/Swiss border. With 650km of pistes, there is plenty of scope for skiers and boarders of all ages and abilities.
If you're not a skier, there's plenty going on in Les Gets, and the nearby resort of Morzine also offers indoor and outdoor ice skating rinks, which are often host to ice hockey matches, and the local cinema shows films in English.
The more adventurous might like to try snowmobiling or ice-climbing on some of the area's frozen waterfalls, or discover the area in a more sedate manner on a sleigh ride. Other ways to have fun include snowshoeing and sledging, while the Indiana adventure park in Morzine offers a variety of activities for all ages.
As spring comes to the Portes du Soleil, a whole new range of activities opens up to visitors. Lush green slopes replace the pistes, and the mountains become a haven for hikers, bikers and thrill-seekers. Take a picnic, and make a day of it! The lifts will transport you and your bike up the mountains, leaving you to come back down at your leisure.
For a change of scene, visit the nearby resorts of Morzine/Avoriaz or the village of Montriond and its lake, which is perfect for a gentle stroll and a picnic, or perhaps a bit of kayaking.
Les Gets and Morzine have earned the Famille Plus status for their excellent childcare and entertainment, so this area is a great choice for young families.
There are superb water parks in the town and in neighbouring Avoriaz, as well as two summer sledging runs, while the Indiana adventure park has a range of assault courses to suit all ages. Golfers will find excellent courses in Les Gets and Avoriaz.
Other activities in the area include climbing, rafting, via ferrata, canyoning, mini-golf, quad bikes, and fishing.

La Cornette is a two-bedroom, ground-floor apartment for four close to the pistes and the centre of Les Gets, in the Portes du Soleil.
It's one of several properties in a small hamlet on the edge of Les Gets, with parking and a nearby supermarket. There's allocated parking for one car and a free public car park nearby.
There is a lovely, open-plan living room with a well-equipped kitchen, a dining area and a cosy sitting area, which opens on to a wraparound balcony with views of the pistes. The balcony also gives you access to a private garden - a real bonus if you are travelling with children - and a large hot tub, where you can relax and enjoy the sunset after a busy day in the mountains.
Both of the double bedrooms have en suite shower rooms. There's also a separate WC and a washing machine and dryer.
Guests have use of a ski locker, which saves you bringing your equipment in to the apartment.
