This charming 4 star chalet for up to 10 guests is at the end of a quiet residential road, just a 15-minute walk from the busy Alpine village of Le Grand Bornand. The nearest ski lifts are less than 2km away and the ski bus stops 250m from your door, so you'll have great access to more than 200km of pistes in the Aravis ski resorts.
In the summer, the snow melts, turning the ski slopes into lush green meadows and a vast network of hiking and biking trails - it's a great time to visit. You're also only 30 minutes away from Annecy and its beautiful lake where you will enjoy a dip in its clear water after visiting its beautiful medieval old town.
There's always plenty going on in Le Grand Bornand, which has a packed programme of events throughout the summer and winter seasons. There's also a great choice of shops, bars and restaurants and a weekly market, where you can pick up local cheeses, meats and preserves.
The village has been awarded Famille Plus status, which means there's a special programme of entertainment for young visitors. This is particularly true in August, when the week-long children's festival, Au Bonheur des Mômes, attracts thousands of visitors to the area.

About the property ...
There's plenty of room at this three-storey chalet for up to 10 guests, in five bedrooms with four bathrooms.
Three of the bedrooms are on the ground floor, and all have access to the terrace. There's a double room with an en suite shower room, another double room and a twin room. There's also a bathroom, a separate WC, and a sauna with shower on this floor.
There's a great two-bedroom family suite on the top floor, with a lovely twin room for children tucked under the eaves and a spacious double bedroom with a possible remote working area, and doors to a balcony. These rooms share a shower room with a WC.
The first floor is dedicated to the open-plan living area. There's a fully-equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar where you can grab a quick snack before you head out for the day, and a huge dining table big enough for all of you. It's positioned right in front of the doors to the terrace so you can enjoy the view while you eat.
After dinner you can get together in the cosy seating area, where there's a huge sofa laden with throws and cushions, and several pouffes. It's a great place to watch a film on the TV, listen to some music or perhaps just plan your next day in the Aravis.
There's plenty of space to soak up the sun at Chalet Aravista, with the terrace on the ground floor, a wide balcony on the first floor and the covered balcony on the top floor. There are four parking places as well as a garage.
About the area ...
When you stay at Chalet Aravista, you're just a 2km drive from the pistes and just a short walk from the ski bus stop.
The bus, which also serves La Clusaz, is free to use with your Aravis ski pass. This pass covers more than 220km of pristine pistes, in the resorts of Le Grand Bornand, La Clusaz and Manigod, so there's plenty of challenge for skiers and boarders of all abilities. There are also plenty of cross-country trails.
Non-skiers won't be bored either - try hiking or snowshoeing, paragliding, hot-air ballooning, ice-skating or ice-climbing. Le Grand Bornand boasts the Famille Plus mark, ensuring that there is always plenty of entertainment and activities for even the youngest visitors.
In the summer, a network of walking and biking trails criss-cross the slopes, and you can pick up a route map for either at the tourist office. Le Grand Bornand has a beautiful nine-hole golf course with a great driving range, and on those very hot days, why not head for the fantastic swimming pool complex, with a restaurant and grassy areas for picnics. A 30 minute drive will take you to Lake Annecy where the mountains reflect beautifully in its clear water: you can walk or cycle around the lake, enjoy a boatride, or try all the fun watersports available there, surrounded by a breathtaking scenery. Annecy is also a great city of art and history, and your teenagers will also find fine shopping too!

Le Grand Bornand is an idyllic Alpine village which happens to be surrounded by some great skiing and in summer, a superb mountain playground.
There are none of the huge hotel complexes you'll find in other ski resorts – just a friendly welcome all year round.
Families are particularly welcome, with a great programme of activities to keep kids of all ages busy and happy.

Chalet Aravista is a three-storey chalet for 10 guests in five bedrooms, with four bathrooms.
Four of the five bedrooms have doors to a sunny terrace or balcony, so that you can enjoy the fabulous views wherever you are in the house. And with four stylish bath and shower rooms, you'll never have to wait your turn!
We particularly like the family suite on the top floor - a spacious double room with a cosy seating area, a twin room under the eaves for children and a shared shower room. The double room opens on to the covered balcony at the top of the house, so gets the best views!
The cosy living area is a wonderful place to get together at the end of the day, and the dining table, positioned to make the most of the view, is sure to be the scene of many happy meals together.
You're just a 15-minute walk from the busy ski village of Le Grand Bornand, but if you don't want to walk, the ski bus stops nearby, so you may not need to use your car while you're here. But there are three parking spaces and a garage for your use.

We're Elise and Franck (and Louise) and Estelle and Jean-luck, two couples from Alsace.
We love mountains sports, so naturally we fell in love with Le Grand Bornand, and with this chalet at the top of the village. We called it Aravista, as the view of the Aravis mountains is superb! You will never tire of waking up to the flamboyant hues of the sunrise lighting up the mountains.
We have completely renovated Chalet Aravista, mixing tradition and modern looks to create a warm family home. This is what we wanted for ourselves, and hope it will appeal to you too.
Each room has a private terrace with a beautiful view, and young children will love the teddy bear cabin. After a busy day you can relax in the spa bath or in one of the walk-in showers - we have plans to add other spa facilities too.
We planned the large living room with a modern stove for maximum space and comfort, and to make the most of the remarkable view of the Bouchet valley, the Aravis mountains and the Danay. Our 850m2 plot means you can enjoy some green space and fruit trees in the summer.
You can get to the centre of Le Grand Bornand by foot, car or bus - the bus stops just 250m away. There are plenty of bars, restaurants and entertainment venues in this typical Savoyard village.
Walkers can explore hiking trails which start right outside the chalet.
Most people come to Le Grand Bornand for its great skiing, but there's so much more to see and do, all year round, including watersports on Lake Annecy, which is just 30 minutes' drive away.
