💲 Rate/membership: The low season visitor rate is 70€, the high season rate is 90€. The annual membership varies from 350€ to 1,850€.

🚗 Distance from the nearest town: Less than an hour from Geneva or Lyon by car.

Constructed in 1895, this golf course is the 5th oldest in France. Its setting, between the Lac du Bourget and the Alps, makes this 18-hole course one of the most beautiful in France.

With a number of natural obstacles such as the Tillet River running through it, this course is suitable for all levels.

Lake Annecy golf

💲Rate/membership: Annual membership varies according to age, from 260€ to 1,685€. Special rates also exist. Licence and green card compulsory for visiting players, 65€ on weekdays and 79€ on weekend/public holidays.

This golf course overlooking the lake near Annecy was created in 1953 by the architect Cecil Blanford. It’s set at the foot of the Alps in the Roc de Chère nature park – a beautifully calm and protected environment!

Picture yourself with a club in your hand, surrounded by mountains… happiness is guaranteed! As a bonus, you will have a clear view of the Château de Menton-Saint-Bernard. All the services you need are available on-site.

L’Evian Resort Golf Club

This golf course founded in 1904 offers a technical 18-hole golf course. The six-hole course, a new addition, is more accessible and shorter, but both are located in an exceptional environment: Lake Geneva and the Alps will be the backdrop to your game.

The Évian Resort Golf Club is one of the most beautiful golf courses in France. Every year, the 18-hole course hosts The Amundi Evian Championship, the only major golf tournament in Continental Europe.

Uriage Golf Club

🚗 Distance from the nearest town: about 1hr 20 by car from Annecy.

This 9-hole Alpine golf course is located in the heart of a listed park with century-old trees. Built in 1921, Le Golf d’Uriage has a strong history featuring people such as Maurice Chevalier and Colette.

The restaurant Le 2002, at the site of the old Château d’Alberges, offers a well-deserved break. Dine on fresh produce, with a daily menu prepared by the chefs. Nearby, you will find the Uriage thermal spa, where you can relax after a pleasant day.

Esery Golf Club

📏 Length of course: 1,850m for 9 holes and 6,350m for 18 holes.

💲 Rate/membership: In low season, 9-hole green fee from 50€ and 18-hole green fee from 80€. In high season, 9-hole green fee from 55€ and 18-hole green fee from 120€. The annual membership is 2,950€ for a shareholder and 3,200€ for a non-shareholder.

📍 Location: 28 allée du Château, Reignier-Esery

🚗 Distance from the nearest town: about 20 minutes drive from Geneva

Ideally located between Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc, the Esery Golf Club was founded in 1990 and boasts a beautiful environment which combines calm, serenity and nature.

The two courses of 9 and 18 holes have steep and wide greens, which require technical skills and precision. It is a great opportunity to improve and increase your range of shots with plenty of sunshine and a wonderful view.

Golf de Flaine — Les Carroz

💲 Rate/membership: Green fee at 46€ per adult, season pass at 320€ per adult.

📍 Location: Col de Pierre Carrée, Arâches-la-Frasse

🚗 Distance from the nearest town: an hour from Geneva and Annecy.

This golf course in the heart of the Alps opens for the summer season, from June to September. Expect a breathtaking view, as the course is surrounded by the most beautiful peaks!

This is your chance to practise your swing at an altitude of 1,900 metres. Robert Berthet, the architect, used the environment to create an experience not to be missed, where the conditions are ideal and temperatures not exceeding 25°C.

The Flaine-Les Carroz Golf Club has thought of everything, including the hire of electric carts if your legs need a break.

Le Golf de l’Alpe d’Huez

This narrow and sloping course is accessible to players of all levels. Whether you are an amateur or an experienced player, this beautiful 9-hole golf course has something for you.

Surrounded by the Oisans mountains, there’s a wonderful view at every hole. You can hire equipment at the Alpe d’Huez Golf Club, which has been open since 1988, so all you need to do is turn up and have a good time.

Le Golf de Méribel

💲 Rate/membership: Green fee from 50€ to 75€ depending on the period. The membership varies from 120€ to 170€.

📍 Location: BP 54 – Altiport, Méribel

Hilly terrain and constantly changing panoramas in a woodland setting await you at this mountain golf course in Méribel.

Challenging for experienced golfers, it also offers options for beginners and lessons are also available if you’d like to perfect your skills in this tranquil setting!

The place basks in the splendour of the Dent de Burgin tooth, the emblematic mountain of the valley. Like all high-altitude courses, it is only open during the summer. So make a date from June to the end of October to meet at this Alpine golf course!

Golf Les Gets

🚗 Distance from the nearest town: 1hr 30 by car from Geneva and Annecy

This 18-hole golf course, which is quite technical, was created in 1995 and opened by Guy Drut, who was the Minister of Sports at the time.

Its location on a ridge means you can expect great variations in terrain – this is what makes it interesting and physical and there are electric carts available on site.

Between trees and peaks, it’s a wonderful place to combine concentration and contemplation. The Les Gets domain has named each hole after a surrounding peak, perfect for getting into the swing of this mountain golf course!

You can enjoy a meal on the sunny terrace in the club’s restaurant after an exciting round – that’s the time to appreciate the view!

Le Golf de Tignes

📍 Location: route du Val Claret, Tignes

🚗 Distance from the nearest town: just under three hours from Annecy

The Tignes golf course, reputed to be the highest in Europe, sits at an altitude of over 2,000 metres, surrounded by splendid landscapes. The Grande Motte glacier overlooks the course, with a view of the Tignes Lake.

You’ll need to be in good physical condition to play these 18 holes, while breathing in the fresh mountain air and enjoying the colourful Alpine scenery. The course is open from June to September.

Le Golf du Mont d’Arbois in Megève

💲 Rate/membership: Green fee from 60€, annual membership from 900€ to 1,250€

📍 Location: 3001 route Edmond de Rothschild, Megève

🚗 Distance from the nearest town: about 1hr 20 by car from Geneva and Annecy

Nestled at an altitude of 1,320 metres, this course is considered to be the oldest mountain golf course. Launched in the 1920s by Noémie de Rothschild, the professional golfer Henry Cotton later restructured it.

Dynamic shots are necessary to reach the green, but the panoramas, between the Aravis massif and Mont Joly, make this place magical. Biodiversity is high on the agenda, thanks to this area’s commitment to an eco-responsible approach.

On-site, you will find a pro shop which is open every day with a wide choice of equipment. On the catering side, several options are available for a complete and memorable experience.

The Golf Club de Chamonix

At the foot of the Alpine giants, Chamonix Golf Club offers a unique setting. Its 18-hole golf course requires technicality and subtlety. Several natural obstacles could give you a hard time! Are you up to the challenge?

Let yourself be guided by the exceptional architecture of this golf course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Junior in 1934. Considered to be one of the most beautiful courses in the mountains, make sure you pay it a visit!

The Golf Club de Courchevel

🚗 Distance from the nearest town: About 1hr 40 by car from Annecy

The Saulire massif dominates this 9-hole golf course, which was designed by Robert Berthet before its inauguration in 1988.

At 2,000 metres, there’s a very relaxed atmosphere at this course, which opens between June and October. The rich fauna and flora surrounding this Alpine course make it a great place to recharge your batteries.

It’s a fairly technical course, which is popular with both beginners and experienced players. Come and join them!

The Golf des Arcs

📏 Length of course: 860 m for 9 holes, 5,497 m for 18 holes

💲 Rate/membership: The green fee is 45€ for 9 holes and 65€ for 18 holes. The annual adult pass is 420€ if bought before 15 March, otherwise 460€.

📍 Location: Les Arcs 1800, Les Arcs

🚗 Distance from the nearest town: less than two hours by car from Annecy.

Enjoy a view of Mont-Blanc and an altitude of 1,800 metres when you explore the two courses of the Golf des Arcs.

This course was created in 1974 in the heart of the Vanoise Park. It welcomes golfers of all abilities, whether they are looking to get started or improve their skills.

The setting is magical, and the club offers many services. You can hire electric or manual carts and there are workshops to repair clubs.
