This homely chalet for 10 people (eight adults and two children) is situated in the village of St-Marcel, just a 10-minute walk from the Trois Vallees ski resort of Saint-Martin-de-Belleville. The ski bus stops just 50m from the property, making it easy to explore the neighbouring ski stations.
St-Martin-de-Belleville is renowned for its restaurants, and the chalet is just a short walk from the three Michelin-starred La Bouitte - make sure you book well in advance if you're planning to eat there. There's also a good selection of family restaurants, some popular bakeries where you can pick up your bread and croissants, and a small supermarket.
About the property
Accommodation is set over three floors, and is decorated in a traditional Alpine style, combined with contemporary furnishings. The bright living area is a great place to gather around the woodburning stove after a day in the mountains, or you could take an apero out onto the balcony to take in the impressive views. The compact kitchen has everything you need to cook up a delicious meal, and there's room at the dining table for everyone to eat together.
The chalet has four bedrooms - two double rooms with en suite bathrooms, and two more rooms each with kingsize or twin beds with a bunk bed over. These rooms have en suite shower rooms.
The chalet has a ski store and heated boot warmer, so that your equipment will always be dry and ready for you to hit the slopes, and there are two parking spaces.
About the area
The tranquil ski resort of St Martin de Belleville is a great favourite with families, due to its relaxed atmosphere and a superb dedicated ski area for beginners.
You'll find a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants, but if you're looking for lively apres ski, you might have to travel a bit further.
Fast lifts and 600km of pistes across the Trois Vallees, Les Menuires, Meribel and Courchevel mean there's plenty of scope for winter sport enthusiasts.
There's lots for thrill-seekers in the summer too. Try paragliding, climbing, via ferrata or perhaps even white-water rafting and canyoning on the Isère river.
