Rock On Snow Tour
13-15 December
Avoriaz
Avoriaz kicks off the ski season with a huge test centre for skis, snowboards and accessories. More than 80 brands will be on hand to demonstrate their wares free of charge. So if you’re planning to buy equipment to take to the slopes this winter, this is the place to be.
Morzine Spartan Trail
15 December
Morzine
The famous Spartan Trail obstacle race is coming to Morzine again this year. There are two routes, of 10 and 21km, which cross the slopes and the village. Whether you decide to take part in the race or just watch it, you’re in for a treat.
Father Christmas lives in Les Gets
21-27 December
Les Gets
Venture into the heart of the enchanted forest to meet Father Christmas and his adorable elves. Tickets for the event go on sale on 1 December.
The Enchanted Village

Enjoy two magical weeks of shows, lights and entertainment at the Enchanted Village in Morzine this year All the activities are free, from Santa’s visit to children’s workshops and parades. This event is sure to put a sparkle in your holiday.

This free show will light up the centre of the resort to bring some Christmas spirit to the Alps. Combining pyrotechnics and sound and light, it’s sure to put stars in the eyes of the whole family!
Mademoiselle Faustine sings Christmas carols
23 December
Morzine
The Morzine Tourist Office is offering a free Christmas carol concert to celebrate this family holiday. Mademoiselle Faustine will be accompanied by a pianist and guitarist in the Tourist Office square between 4.30pm and 6.30pm.

Come and watch Father Christmas arrive with a sound and light show, along with a splendid firework display! With the children’s help, the show aims to help adults rekindle the magic of this unique holiday. Father Christmas will be handing out presents and sweets in an illuminated grotto.
Father Christmas arrives in Châtel

Châtel
On his long journey from Lapland, Father Christmas stops off in his horse-drawn carriage in the Alps. Helped by the little elves from the ESF, he will be handing out sweets to all the children of Châtel.
Christmas Fanfare

Morzine
Experience the magic of Christmas through music, in the heart of the charming village of Morzine. With melodies, gospel and songs from our favourite Disney cartoons, this free event will take you back to the innocence of childhood.
Frozen treasure hunt
26 December
Morzine
Children will enjoy learning the basics of ice sculpting at this fun, free workshop. Armed with an ice pick, they’ll have to find a gold coin hidden in a block of ice. The workshop takes place between 4.30pm and 6pm in the Tourist Office square.
New Year’s Eve

Welcome 2024 in style with a fireworks show that will echo across the skies of Les Gets. See the Tourist Office website for full details.

The whole resort of Châtel celebrates the end of the year with music and lights. From 7pm to 9pm, there will be concerts, free hot chocolate and mulled wine, and a fireworks display that will light up the mountains.

Avoriaz celebrates the arrival of the New Year with joy and good humour, featuring no less than five DJs, fireworks and a festive evening that promises to last until the wee small hours!

Laser biathlon

Morzine
Morzine Tourist Office is organising a free biathlon workshop to introduce you to this little-known Olympic event. Armed with a safe laser rifle, you can work on your endurance and concentration over the course of a fun afternoon.
Magic show
1 January
Châtel
The ‘Kachtelane-show’ will set the Salle La Châtelaine alight to celebrate the start of the New Year. This interactive visual show offers a clever blend of magic, burlesque comedy and grand illusion that will delight the whole family.

Ice hockey championship match
15 January

Come and experience all the intensity of a live ice hockey match as you cheer on the Morzine-Avoriaz Pingouins. They’ll be taking on the Yétis du Mont-Blanc team in a championship match that’s sure to make skates squeak!
Les Gets Comédie
25-31 January
Les Gets
Start the new year with a good laugh at this evening featuring French and English comedians. Check out the list of participants and the full programme on their official website.

Burton Mystery Series
1-2 February
Avoriaz
Snowboarders of all ages are invited to take part in this free, fun and friendly competition, which will be held on the slopes as well as in the heart of the resort, in the snowy streets of Avoriaz.
UCI Snow Bike World Championships
8 February
Châtel
In its second year, this sporting championship features two events on snow, directly inspired by alpine skiing. Come and cheer on the participants in this unique competition.
Carnival
8 February – 2 March
Avoriaz
Every Thursday, colourful floats parade through the centre of the village to celebrate the carnival, one of the children’s favourite holidays. There will also be workshops, treasure hunts, sledge races and lots of other surprises!
Red Ski Show
10, 17 and 24 February
Les Gets
The ski instructors from Les Gets ESF invite you to a mountain show that will take your breath away. The programme includes torch-lit descents, ski shows, grooming and rescue demonstrations and fireworks, all duly accompanied by mulled wine and hot chocolate.
Farmers’ Festival
11 February
Châtel
Join local farmers in the church square for their annual fête and the competition for the best Abondance cheese. There are wooden games for the children, as well as farm animals and cheese-making. There will also be traditional music and a procession from Linga at 7pm.
Charity torchlight descent
12, 20 and 26 February
Les Gets
This torchlight descent gives you the chance to do a good deed while taking part in a fabulous night-time show. Each torch costs €7, with all proceeds going to charity. See you at 6.15pm at the top of the Boule de Gomme piste! Note that you’ll need a second star to take part.

Theatre: Jump Eddie, jump!
18 February
Morzine
This play, described as a ‘cultural Olympiad’ at the last Olympic Games, tells the true story of Michael Edwards, the ski jumper nicknamed Eddie the Eagle. This emotionally-charged play is part of the ‘Morzine en scène’ cultural season.
Lok’adabra travelling show
20 February
Châtel
In an extravaganza of music and lights, this trio will perform on the snow front and in the village of Châtel, in an afternoon of laughter and entertainment that will appeal to young and old.
Ice hockey championship match

Blessing of the Skiers

Join us at the Plaine Dranse chapel in the early evening for the skiers’ blessing. This unique event will be followed by a torchlit descent accompanied by traditional music, mulled wine, and hot apple juice.
Carnival

Come and admire the fancy dress carnival parade starting at 2pm for a festive après-ski experience.
Morzine Takes Care of You
10-14 March
Morzine
Every day from 10 AM to 7 PM, this event focuses on pampering you with a variety of wellness activities: Pilates, yoga, hikes, sophrology, and more. Professionals will be on hand to offer guidance and help you recharge in total tranquility.
Snowboxx
15-22 March
Avoriaz
Snowboxx is a unique mix of a music festival, a carnival, and ski competitions, set on the snow in Avoriaz. Renowned freeriders and DJs will take over different spots in the resort for an exciting week. Visit the official site for the lineup.
Rock the Pistes

Portes du Soleil Ski Resorts
This pop/rock music festival takes place every year on the slopes of various resorts in the Portes du Soleil area. With over 30 concerts announced, get ready to groove—these beats will shake the snow!

Portes du Soleil Champions Ski Race
6 April
Morzine
This race, held on the Nyon plateau, marks the end of the ski season in the Portes du Soleil area. The greatest champions of the region compete, and there’s also a race organised for children. A thrilling day for the whole family!
