Situated in the Bay of Angon in Talloires, Blue Wake offers Waterskiing, Wakeboarding and Wakesurfing giving you a different view of picturesque Lake Annecy.
Set on the grassy lawns of the Plage d’Angon is Blue Wake. For those not interested in taking part in the activity on the water they have a shady terrace and sun loungers, as well as a table tennis table and even a slack line to test your agility!
With the help of the instructors you can pick the perfect activity and course for you. The aim first and foremost is to have fun and the instructors will tailor the course to your level to make sure that you have a great time on the water.
What’s on offer?
For a full overview of all lesson and course options, together with prices please visit Blue Wake.
Waterski – From €34
Blue Wake offer water skiing on one or two skis. The boats are equipped with a bar allowing complete beginners and riders as young as 5 to give it a shot in total safety. For those with a higher level the instructors will tailor the lesson to your requirements to ensure you get the most out of the experience.
If you fancy a bit more of a freestyle experience but want to stay on the skis, give WakeSki a try!
Wakeboard – From €34
Wakeboarding is more geared around freestyle than water skiing. And if you are a snowboarder rather than skier in the winter then Wakeboarding is definitely for you!
With the help of the professional instructors you will learn to stand up for the first time all the way through to trying your first jump or freestyle move!
Again, with the help of the initiation bar, complete beginners and riders as young as 6 can try Wakeboarding out for the first time in total safety.
Wakesurf – From €35
Whether you can surf or not, Wakesurfing is fantastic experience. Probably requiring a touch more balance than the other activities Wakesurfing gives you the opportunity to get really expressive behind the boat. Unlike the other activities, your feet are free on the board like in normal surfing.
You start off holding a rope. When you are happy that you are balanced, let go and let rip! Try doing a few turns up and down the wake and as your balance develops you can really start to play with the wave!
Group Sessions – €180 for 1h
If you are in a group why not rent the boat all for yourselves?
Courses – From €122
If you want to really improve book yourself onto a Blue Wake instructional course.
The programme for the courses includes a welcome and safety briefing at the club each morning, followed by a warm up before you hit the water.
The aim is to get each student out for two rides in the first session. The instructor is on the boat, giving advice throughout the session. You’ll then return to shore for a short break where the instructor will give you a debrief with the help of the video coach. Afterwards, it’s back to the water for the final session to try out the tips you’ve been given!
Courses from 2 days onwards.
Supercoaching – From €100
Supercoaching is a half hour, tailored, one-to-one session. The instructor uses techniques such as video coaching to make sure you improve in an environment which is all about you.
There is a locker room on site for you to change in.
What to wear
From mid July the Lake is a very comfortable temperature and can get up to around 24°c by mid August. So normal swimwear is usually fine. However, please bear in mind that you are likely to fall in at speed so swimwear can shift! Board shorts and a water appropriate t-shirt are recommended. Before July it is recommended to wear a wetsuit.
No footwear is to be worn on the boats.
