You don’t need any experience of climbing to conquer the mountains when you try via ferrata – a sort of vertical hike around cliff faces on wire trails. It’s all totally safe as you’re attached to the rocks by a wire harness – even children can do it!
This stunning Via Ferrata is accessed from the top of the Flégère cable car and is ideal for those trying their first Via Feratta. After just a short 20 minute hike you leave the noise of the lifts behind are start the Via ferrata itself.
The route features two rope bridges, the second of which is long and gives some great exposure in a safe setting. The views of Mont Blanc throughout the route are exceptional.
Please be aware that the route leads on to a Via Corda, which requires more climbing specific equipment. Make sure to take the walking path back to the Flagères lift if you are not intending on tackling the Via Corda.
