Owner - Caroline Mary

Caroline Mary had been living in the French Alps for 20 years, when she decided to find a property better suited to her changing family requirements.

With three growing children, she wanted something close to a village and of a more manageable size.

She was shown Chalet les Molliats, one of the original Alpine farms on the edge of the village of Manigod in the Aravis ski area, and immediately fell in love with it. She bought it in 2005 and, while it had been restored 20 years previously, Caroline set about re-working and modernising it to suit her style.

Caroline and her family lived in Chalet les Molliats for six years, until her sons left home. Caroline and her daughter then took the decision to move back to her original property and rent out Chalet Molliats, while ultimately aiming to sell it to release capital for other projects.
