There's just as much to see and do in the Trois Vallées in the summer, with walking, biking and climbing among the many activities.

Foodies are well catered for in St Martin de Belleville, where you'll find everything from restaurants serving Savoyard specialties to La Bouitte - a renowned restaurant with three Michelin stars. But if you'd rather cater for yourself, you'll also find a popular bakery, butcher and a small supermarket.

About the property

The well-planned accommodation is set out over three floors, with five en suite bedrooms.

The top floor is dedicated to a stylish open plan living area, with a fabulous terrace to make the most of the incredible views over the valley and mountains beyond.

Wooden walls, floors and ceilings combined with stone remind you of the building's agricultural history, while helping to make this a cosy and welcoming place to relax. Gather on the sofas in front of the fire to watch a film, play your own music on the Sonos sound system, or step out onto the sunny balcony to watch the sun set or spot shooting stars. But perhaps the best place from which to admire the breathtaking views is the wooden hot tub!

The beautifully designed kitchen has everything you need to cook up a feast, and there's a large dining table where you can all sit down to eat together.

There are two bedrooms on the ground floor, both with kingsize double beds and en suite shower rooms. There's also a separate WC.

Three more bedrooms can be found on the lower ground floor: a children's room with two sets of bunk beds and an en suite bathroom with two sinks; and two large double rooms and en suite shower rooms. The sauna is also on this floor, along with a separate WC.

There's a garage at the chalet, along with a ski store and heated boot rack.

About the area

The tranquil ski resort of St Martin de Belleville is a great hit with families, due to its relaxed atmosphere and a superb dedicated ski area for beginners.

You'll find a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants, but if you're looking for lively apres ski, you might have to travel a bit further.

Fast lifts and 600km of pistes across the Trois Vallees, Les Menuires, Meribel and Courchevel mean there's plenty of scope for winter sport enthusiasts.

There's lots for thrill-seekers in the summer too. Try paragliding, climbing, via ferrata or perhaps even white-water rafting and canyoning on the Isère river.
