The French Alps make the perfect holiday destination for family getaways such as a ski holiday in winter or just enjoying the fresh mountain air and activities in summer. Dog-friendly accommodation can be difficult to find, so we've made it easy, with pages for each of our ski chalets clearly showing if they accept pets, or check the list on this page which shows every holiday home that accepts pets.

If there's one thing dogs love it's snow. Chasing snowballs or eating snowflakes, dogs are happiest when they're running around on snow-covered fields. Booking a dog-friendly ski chalet in France means your furry family member can enjoy the snow as much as the rest of the family. And thanks to pet passports, taking your pet on holiday is now easier than ever. Share a special break away with the entire family!

In summer, Alpine resorts make the ideal holiday destination for families with dogs, with hiking, cycling and lakes to explore. Don't forget to take a family photo with your fluffy loved ones before you head home.

Bringing your pet on holiday doesn't mean skimping on quality. Some of our dog-friendly chalets even include luxurious extras such as a hot tub or a swimming pool. Check out our range of chalets where pets are welcome in ski areas such as the Portes du Soleil and the Aravis. If you have small children, don't forget our Cool for Kids range of chalets, which caters especially for children's needs, with extras such as night lights and kid-friendly bedding.

Each ski resort has its own rules about which ski lifts dogs are allowed on, and if dogs are allowed on ski pistes during winter. Most will allow dogs on enclosed lifts such as telecabins, or next to drag lifts, but make sure you check on the ski resort's website before you book.
