Any mountain biker of any level can enjoy a mountain bike holiday in Morzine. Being well known for Downhill, many often believe that Morzine and the surrounding area is reserved for expert riders only, but that is not at all the case. Though experienced riders are very well catered for with numerous technical and challenging single-track routes, there is also a wealth of fantastic downhill tracks suited to less experienced riders.
That does not mean that you will be confined to a beginner area. Many of the green and blue trails across the Portes du Soleil area link together, meaning that even complete beginners can venture as far as Switzerland! These trails pass through idyllic forests and green pastures, often with stunning views of the impressive Mont Blanc.

Kids from the age of five can use the lifts which have been specially adapted for bikes, making getting out and about with little ones so much easier. As kids learn so quickly it is a great idea to book an instructor for a morning or afternoon. A few pointers will have the kids getting hold of the basics in no time, making for a more enjoyable and safer time on the hill.
You can also hire a bike to save you having to bring bikes along. It also means that you will have access to the right type of mountain bike for the trails you will be riding. There are a number of great hire shops in the area all stocking high quality bikes.
