The OVO Network Review
“Feel right at home in this mountain farmhouse”
Chalet Gueret is a converted farmhouse for 14, with six en suite bedrooms set over three floors.
Set in the quiet village of Essert Romand, between Morzine and Montriond, you'll need a car to get around. However, there is a bar / restaurant within a few minutes walk, and it's just a short drive or taxi ride into Morzine.
There's plenty of space for four or five cars outside the chalet, with more parking space nearby, should you need it.
We love the individually-styled bedrooms at Chalet Gueret, all of which have their own bathrooms and most of which have doors on to a balcony or terrace - a coffee and some fresh mountain air is the best way to start your day! Some of the balconies lead across a small bridge into the garden - in the summer you can wander straight out of your bedroom and head for the pool.
When you're spending time in a large group, it's important that everyone can find some privacy when they need to, and this is where Chalet Gueret excels - with a games room for teenagers, a library area where you can curl up with a book, an intimate study with a dining table for a special meal and a wonderful large seating area, you can choose to get together or find your own space.
The kitchen, obviously equipped by someone who loves to cook, is a delight - a good set of knives, plenty of baking equipment and all the gadgets you need are a rare find in a holiday property. You may not want to spend much time in the kitchen, but if you do, you won't be disappointed!
There's a wonderful traditional feel to Chalet Gueret, with its painted furniture, carved wooden beds and pine panelling, you'll be in no doubt that you are in the mountains. But it comes with plenty of modern comforts too - the perfect place for a family holiday.

From the owner
Chalet Gueret - our family’s special place!
We holidayed there ourselves in 2006 and continued to visit until we were luckily enough to buy it in 2014. It has an amazingly peaceful and restorative atmosphere and a wow factor that photos sometime fail to convey.
While it’s primarily a family home, full of beautiful things, we are delighted to be able to share it. The high number of repeat guests is testament to how much everyone loves Gueret.
We hope that you have a fantastic holiday in this amazing place.
