Chalet Paralpin ...
Lie back in the hot tub and enjoy the incredible mountain views when you stay at this contemporary and comfortable chalet, halfway between Manigod village and the family-friendly ski station of La Croix Fry.
The location is perfect for a group of family or friends who want to explore this beautiful area, with great skiing 3.5km away in one direction, and the charming village of Manigod 3.5km away in the other.
Easy access to the chalet via a private, flat road, nestled in a cul-de-sac, ensuring complete tranquility away from any traffic. You can conveniently catch the shuttle just 200 meters from the chalet. There is minimal traffic, except for the occasional passage of the two owners at the end of the road. Additionally, the main road is distant, ensuring a peaceful environment.
The village has a popular bakery and a bar/restaurant, and there are more restaurants at Croix Fry.
About the property ...
With five en suite bedrooms, a spacious open plan living area, a TV room and a south-facing terrace with a hot tub, this stylish three-storey chalet for 12 has everything you need for an unforgettable mountain holiday.
As you enter on the ground floor, you can leave all your outdoor equipment in the double garage, where you'll find a ski store and a heated boot rack. There's a laundry room, a table tennis table and a WC on this floor, as well as two double bedrooms, each with a shower room.
The first floor is devoted to the open-plan living area. There's an open kitchen, with everything you need to rustle up a hearty meal, and table big enough for everyone to sit down together. A wood-burning stove separates this area from the sitting area with a built in sofa and bench seating. Glass doors frame the breathtaking view, and open on to the balcony, which leads to a sheltered terrace where you can laze in the hot tub or fire up the barbecue and eat outside or even relax in the deckchairs to drink your coffee from the bean-to-cup coffee machine.
There's another seating area on the second floor, with a TV and games - it's a great place for children to watch a film while the adults chat downstairs. There are three more bedrooms here too - a twin room and two family rooms, each with a double and a single bed and access to a balcony. All of these rooms have shower rooms, and there's a separate WC.
About the area...
The nearby ski station of La Croix Fry (altitude 1500m) is just 3.5km away, and parking is free. From here, experienced skiers can ski the circuit around to La Clusaz. There’s an ESF ski school at La Croix Fry and the nursery slopes are perfect for youngsters to learn on, but there is also plenty of challenge for more experienced skiers.
There are several bars and restaurants where you can refuel before moving on - your Aravis/La Clusaz ski pass gives you access to 95 lifts and 220km of pistes, so there’s always somewhere new to discover.
Cross-country skiers will find plenty of trails to choose from, and non-skiers are not forgotten, with a heated indoor/outdoor swimming pool, ice skating rink and cinema at La Clusaz, as well as sledging, snow-shoe walking, dog-sledding and sleigh rides all nearby.
In the summer, you can explore the mountains and the pine forests by foot or by bike. There are quite a few marked footpaths criss-crossing this beautiful farming valley, but if you want to make the most of the altitude, put your bike on the ski lift at La Clusaz and come back down at your own pace, or pack a picnic and explore the Beauregard plateau.
Both road cyclists and mountain bikers will find plenty to explore in and around the Manigod valley. The Col de la Croix Fry is one of the most spectacular mountain passes in the Alps, and a regular part of the Tour de France. The challenging climbs are rewarded by breathtaking views. There are lots of routes for mountain bikers too - check out the Andran, Orsiere and Sulens areas as well as the Beauregard plateau. A guide to all of the routes is available from the tourist office.
Adrenalin junkies can try paragliding, canyoning, climbing, or white-water rafting within a few miles of Manigod. Via ferrata is another great family day out, with adults and children able to explore the mountains on iron walkways, secured to a harness. If you'd prefer to take life at a slower pace, why not go on a donkey trek in the Col des Aravis with a picnic in the large baskets carried by the donkeys?
Annecy is a great destination for a complete contrast to spending time in the mountains. Only 30 minutes away by car, there's a beautiful medieval town and canals to explore as well as the lake, where you can try a range of water sports, enjoy a cruise, hire a boat or just have a lazy day on the beach.
Whatever time of year you choose to visit, after a day full of activity you'll look forward to returning to Chalet Paralpin, where you can relax in the hot tub as you watch the sun set over the mountains.

The OVO Network Review
Chalet Paralpin is a three-storey chalet for 12, with five en suite bedrooms. It's in a great location, with the beautiful village of Manigod 3.5km in one direction, and the Croix Fry ski station 3.5km in the other.
If you want to explore the area, a car would be useful, but the ski bus stops a short walk away from the chalet, so it's not essential.
There's no better way to end a day in the mountains than with a soak in the hot tub - and the view of the Aravis mountains from the tub at Chalet Paralpin has to be one of the best!
The chalet has two double bedrooms, two family rooms each with a double and a single bed, and a twin room. We love the fact that all of the rooms have en suite shower rooms, and there's a WC on each floor.
The two seating areas are also a great idea - a fixed sofa and bench seating by the fire in the main living room, and another TV/games room on the top floor, where younger guests can play or watch a film. The kitchen is open to the dining area, but has everything you need if you're cooking for yourselves.
There's good storage too - the double garage has a ski store and boot rack and there's room for other outdoor gear.
The chalet is on a steep plot, so there's no garden, but there's plenty of room on the balconies and terrace for games, eating and relaxing, and although you may get some passing traffic, the cul-de-sac location makes it relatively quiet and safe.

The Alps and its wonders...
We get to enjoy this wonderful area every day. We also want to help others discover it, and to share its flora and fauna, the beautiful buildings, the residents...
And that is why we decided to look for a site here for our family project - to build a chalet that was a joy to live in, fitted in to its surroundings, using the best construction methods and sustainable materials, and had a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
We were lucky to find a site with an exception view and setting and started on our construction, with thought, passions and a great amount of planning.
We took an active part in the realisation of our dream, and are looking forward to sharing this comfortable and unique chalet and its environment with our guests.
We hope that you will love this space, that we have designed to meet our needs, and that we love so much.
Chalet Paralpin, in the heart of the Aravis, is a real family delight that we have the pleasure to share with you.
We hope to see you soon,
Damien, Tanguy, Brice et Corinne

“An excellent week in this magnificent chalet!”
We had an excellent week in this magnificent chalet, with its clean, well-thought-out architecture and design. We particularly enjoyed the breathtaking views when we woke up each morning. We missed nothing and its ideal location between Megève and La Clusaz enabled us to discover your magnificent region. Many thanks for everything.
“A perfectly equipped chalet!”
Everything came together for an excellent stay: a perfectly equipped chalet and a stunning view! The whole family was delighted, thank you to the hosts and we'll certainly be seeing you again soon for a winter break!
“I highly recommend this place to everyone”
We had a wonderful time in Chalet Paralpin. An unforgettable view and perfect facilities. Nothing to say, we'll be back! We'll be back! Damien was very responsive and helpful. We were a group of motorbikers, and we arrived a little late. Damien was very understanding and waited for us to get there, even though it was late. Accommodation Highlights: - Unforgettable View: The view was absolutely stunning. - Cleanliness: The place was spotless. - Jacuzzi: The jacuzzi was very nice. - Bedrooms: There were enough bedrooms for everyone. - Kitchen: well equipped - Garage: The garage was big enough to fit 8 motorcycles. Negative Points: None at all. Our stay was just perfect. I highly recommend this place to everyone.
