Whenever you decide to visit this stylish apartment, you'll  find plenty to keep you busy. And when you return to your chalet at the end of the day, you can relax in the sauna or on the sunny terrace, or perhaps get together to watch a film in the cinema room.

There is parking for several cars at the chalet.

Groups of up to 20 people can book this apartment with Chalet Mahouet on the second floor, which also sleeps 10.

About the property ...

The stylish Chalet Doujet is on the ground and first floors of this former farm building, and has four bedrooms and four shower rooms.

As you enter on the ground floor, you'll find the double garage and a ski room with a heated boot rack. There's also a sauna and shower room as well as the superb home cinema room, where you can all watch a film on the big screen.

Take the stairs up to the first floor, and into the large open-plan living area. There's a cosy seating area with a corner sofa and chairs arranged around the TV and the fireplace - it's the perfect place to get together after dinner for a chat, or perhaps to plan your next day in the mountains.

A large dining table with room for everyone to eat together links this space to the fully-equipped kitchen, which has everything you need to rustle up a hearty meal for a hungry crowd. If you'd prefer to eat outside, doors lead on to a large wraparound terrace, with a dining table and a barbecue.

Chalet Doujet has four bedrooms, including two double bedrooms which have doors on to their own terraces. One of these bedrooms also has an en suite shower room. There's another double bedroom and a children's room with two sets of bunk beds - these rooms share a shower room, which is accessible from the living area. There's also a separate WC and another shower room.

About the area ...

When you stay at Chalet Doujet there's a great choice of winter and summer sports just minutes from your doorstep.

The ski bus stops 100m away, making this a superb base for families and groups of friends who ski at different levels and want to visit different ski areas. There are nursery slopes, gentle blues and cross country trails on Beauregard, while more experienced skiers and boarders will find plenty of challenge at the popular La Balme area.

Non skiers will also be able to take advantage of the ski bus to visit cafes, bars, restaurants, and shops or try activities such as sledging, snow-shoe walking, dog-sledding and sleigh rides. There's also an ice rink in La Clusaz and a cinema which shows films in French and English.

If you're looking for the ultimate in relaxation, let your cares float away in the heated outdoor pool at La Clusaz, while the snow falls gently around you.

There's just as much to do at Chalet Doujet if you visit in the spring and summer, when the pistes are transformed into lush pastures criss-crossed by hiking and biking trails.

Take a hike into the Col des Aravis, or to the base of the via ferrata from the front door, and you may spot chamois or marmots. Enjoy the magnificent views across to the Mont Blanc chain from various points along the Col.

If you don't fancy the long climb, some parts of the ski lift system open during the summer to ferry you and your bike into the mountains of La Clusaz or Merdassier, then you can descend at your own pace. For a really special day out, you can hire donkeys from a farm on the Col des Aravis for a day's trekking, or try horse-riding, climbing or paragliding.

Just 35 minutes away, the medieval city of Annecy offers a great choice of shops, restaurants, galleries and museums, as well as swimming, boating, golf and watersports in the cleanest lake in Europe.

At the end of the day, relax over a meal in a local restaurant, or perhaps a barbecue and a glass of wine on the terrace of Chalet Doujet as the sun sinks behind the peaks.
