About the property

This beautiful, light-filled chalet sleeps up to 12 guests in five bedrooms with four bathrooms, set over three floors.

There's a great bedroom for children on the ground floor, with three built-in single beds with a bunk bed above and storage underneath. There's also a separate shower room and sauna on this floor, as well as a useful laundry room and a WC.

The main living area on the first floor is flooded with light, thanks to a wall of windows and doors which open onto the balcony and terrace with stunning mountain views. Inside, there's a cosy seating area with huge sofas in front of an enclosed fire - help yourself to a drink from the wine store and enjoy an evening with friends or family. The sleek black kitchen has all the equipment you need to cook up a feast, and there's plenty of room to sit down together at the dining table. There's also a double bedroom on this floor with an adjoining shower room and WC.

There are three more bedrooms on the top floor. There's a double bedroom with a balcony and an en suite bathroom, and two more double rooms, one of which opens on to the balcony. These bedrooms share an interconnecting shower room, and there's a separate WC.

There is room to park one or two cars outside, as well as a garage with ski storage and a heated boot rack.

About the area

La Clusaz is a great location for a mountain holiday, whatever time of year you choose to visit. It's part of the Aravis ski resorts which also include Manigod and Le Grand Bornand, where you can explore more than 220km of pistes, varying in length, width and difficulty.

Away from the slopes, there's a large swimming pool complex with indoor and outdoor pools, as well as sledging areas, ice-skating and horse-drawn sleigh rides.

When the snow melts, La Clusaz becomes a huge playground for hikers and cyclists, while families will find there's always something going on to entertain children. Summer luge, mini-golf, horse-riding and treetop adventure parks are just some of things you can look forward to.

Walkers will appreciate the fact that many of the lifts stay open throughout the summer - take a chairlift up to higher ground and enjoy views on the walk back down.

This traditional village has a weekly market, where you can buy local produce, fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as local crafts and clothing.

The medieval lakeside town of Annecy is just 30 minutes away by car. With its charming shops, canalside restaurants and watersports on the cleanest lake in Europe, it's well worth a visit.
