About the property

This fabulous home sleeps up to nine people in four suites, spread across three floors. There's another single bed in the reading area, which can accommodate a 10th guest.

Steps lead to the main entrance, which opens onto a living area with a cosy central fireplace and a well-equipped kitchen to one side. On the other, the spacious dining area has fabulous views of Mont Blanc. There's room for everyone on the large three-sided sofa, whether you are settling down to watch a film on the surround sound TV, chatting about your day or relaxing with a drink.

Gamers will appreciate the PlayStation Plus subscription and game pass, with access to thousands of games, and there are also Netflix, Prime and Disney+ subscriptions. You'll have access to a digital film library and great music, thanks to the Sonos sound system in every room.

This area opens onto the furnished terrace - perfect for an apero. After a game of petanque, it's time to prepare dinner: you could cook over the barbecue, fire pit, on the electric plancha or the Vulx gas plancha.

The outdoor seating area and sunbeds is beautifully lit, and, in the summer, you'll find the hot tub and outdoor shower through the wisteria arbour. There's also a bubble sauna with panoramic views over the mountains.

The first bedroom suite is on this floor, and is equipped with an Italian shower. There is also a separate Japanese toilet.

On the first floor, the first suite has its own hammam and a freestanding bath. Another bedroom has doors opening on to the balcony - you can lie in bed as you watch the sun rise over Mont Blanc. What better way to wake up, face to face with the highest peaks. This suite also has a steam room, a woodburning stove and an extra bed.

On the landing, you'll find a second Japanese toilet as well as an extra bed at the top of the stairs.

The final bedroom suite is on the ground floor - it has a separate entrance but is linked to the rest of the accommodation by an interior staircase. This area also has a cinema room and a separate WC.

There are three parking spaces, two of which are covered, and a rapid electric car charger. The nearby ski room has a heated boot warmer.

The chalet is decorated in neutral tones and makes great use of brushed wood. The subtle colours and a well-designed lighting scheme show off the elegant accessories and artwork, creating an ambiance where you'll feel completely at ease during your holiday.

About the area

For a small village, Cordon packs a big punch for winter sports. You can drive to the village’s family-friendly slopes in five minutes, or take the shuttle bus, which stops just below the chalet.

There’s plenty more skiing a little further afield - a 10-minute drive will take you to the Évasion Mont-Blanc area of Combloux, Megève, and Saint-Gervais. Beyond that, 30 minutes away, there’s the Espace Diamant, linking Praz-sur-Arly, Bellecombe, Crest-Volant, Flumet, and Saisies, which hosted the winter Olympics in 1992.

For an evening you will never forget, hire a guide and ski the eerily beautiful Vallee Blanche under a full moon - this 23km run with a 2,000m drop will take you from the Aiguille du Midi to the Mer de Glace.

Other winter sports just minutes away from your door include dog-sledding, and snow-shoe walking.
