Overview
This traditional farm chalet for 12, set on the edge of the beautiful village of Châtel, is just a short walk from the village and the lifts. After a busy day skiing or walking in the mountains, you'll look forward to relaxing in the outdoor hot tub, the sauna, or just taking in the views from the balcony.
Châtel is part of the Portes du Soleil ski area, which covers 12 resorts in France and Switzerland, so you'll never be short of somewhere new to discover.
Accommodation at the chalet is spread over four floors. On the first floor, the bright living area takes up the front of the chalet, and opens on to a sunny balcony - help yourself to a drink from the cocktail bar, step out and take in the incredible views of the village, the pistes and the mountains beyond. The air is intoxicating! The rustic-styled kitchen has everything you need to cook for 12 hungry people, and there's plenty of room to sit down together at the dining table. There's also a charming "chef's table" in the kitchen, which is perfect for a children's tea.
After dinner, gather around the log fire to plan your next mountain adventure, or relax in the movie room - there's Apple TV and games to keep you busy. A Sonos sound system throughout the chalet means you can choose your own music from your phone. The sauna is on this floor too - there's enough room for six to relax and unwind after an exhilarating day on the pistes.
Five of the six bedrooms are on the ground floor. There are four double/twin rooms, each with their own bath or shower rooms, and a family suite - a double room with a bunk room for children, and a bathroom with a separate shower. All of these rooms have access to a balcony.
The final bedroom is on the mezzanine floor - it's a spacious double with a bath and shower room. There's also a library on this floor where you can curl up with a book, and a secret hideaway for young children!
All of the beds will be made up for your arrival with crisp Egyptian cotton bedding, and fluffy robes and towels are provided in the bathrooms.
The chalet is a great place for children, with an enclosed garden on one side and their own garden chalet, where they can play safely. While you enjoy the sunset from the hot tub, they can burn off some energy with a snowball fight or a treasure hunt.
