About Chalet Bonnevie...
The owners of Chalet Bonnevie put a lot of thought into choosing where to buy their dream chalet in the heart of the French Alps. But when they saw Chalet Bonnevie, they immediately fell in love with this pretty traditional home in Villards-sur-Thônes.
And after a major renovation, guests can now enjoy a sauna, a hot tub with wonderful views and in summer, a stunning 9m x 3.5m outdoor pool surrounded by a wooden terrace.
You will love the breathtaking views of the valley and the surrounding mountains from the terrace at Chalet Bonnevie, as well as its quiet location just 3km from Villards-sur-Thônes. The village is ideally located between La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornand, allowing you to make the most of all that the region has to offer, whatever the season.
Cyclists and skiers will appreciate the secure room where you can store sports equipment so that it is always ready for your next outing.
The property...
Families and groups of friends will find Chalet Bonnevie an ideal choice for their mountain holiday.
The chalet sleeps 10 people in four bedrooms, with four bathrooms. There's a double bedroom on the lower ground floor, with its own shower room and doors to the pool terrace. There's also a sauna with another shower on this floor and a laundry area. There are three more bedrooms on the top floor. There are two double bedroom with their ensuite shower room, and another bedroom which has four single beds, and which is perfect for children. This floor also has a large bathroom, with a bath and a shower.
The comfortable living area on the ground floor has plenty of cosy seating - it's the perfect place to come together for cosy evenings around the open fire. If you'd rather watch TV or a film, there's a separate television room with cosy bench seating on the lower ground floor, along with an office space for those who would like to work remotely.
The modern, well-equipped kitchen has everything you need, whether you just want to rustle up a snack or cook up a feast. You can eat together around the dining table or at the breakfast bar.
The lovely garden with great mountain and valley views, comes into its own in the summer months, when you'll want to eat outside on the huge sunny deck, take a dip in the pool (available June to September), or perhaps soak your cares away in the hot tub.
This property has also a recharging point for electric vehicles.
About the area...
You couldn’t chose a more perfect location to make the most of the La Clusaz slopes. Halfway between La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornand ski resorts, you can ski somewhere new every day.
Your Aravis ski pass also covers the Manigod area, giving you 220km of pistes of varying levels to explore, as well as extensive off-piste action.
Non-skiers are well catered for too, and can go ice skating or swimming in La Clusaz, where the heated indoor and outdoor pools are open all year round, or try snowshoeing, sledging, dog-sledding and sleigh rides.
Get back to Chalet Bonnevie in time to soothe aching limbs in the hot tub under the night sky - no better end to the day!
In the summer, it won't be easy to tear yourself away from the idyllic garden, hot tub and pool at Chalet Bonnevie, but your efforts will be well rewarded!
There's so much to see and do in the La Clusaz area in the summer. St-Jean-de-Sixt is one of the few places where you can try Bun-J ride, a cross between ski jumping and bungee jumping. Other more traditional pastimes are available too - marked footpaths crisscross the mountains, many starting from the village, or you can explore by mountain bike or on horseback.
There are swimming pool complexes in Le Grand Bornand, La Clusaz and Thônes, but if you're looking for something a little more challenging, there's a climbing school, via ferrata routes, a tree-top adventure park, canyoning, white-water rafting and paragliding all nearby.
The owners love cycling and skiing themselves; guests will appreciate the secure kit room with tools, bike stands etc. With impressive cycle route maps from the local Tourist Office, and a local company who will deliver/ collect bikes, sports fans will love Chalet Bonnevie.

The OVO Network Review
Chalet Bonnevie is a three-storey, four-bedroom chalet for 10 guests, with four bathrooms.
With a sauna, hot tub, summer outdoor pool (June to September) and wonderful views from the terrace, it has long been a favourite with our guests, but a recent renovation has made it even more special.
The property now offers four bedrooms, three of which are en suite double rooms. One is on the lower ground floor and has doors to the pool terrace.
The fourth bedroom has four single beds, making it a perfect choice for children. There's also a large bathroom with a bath and separate shower.
You'll find a modern kitchen on the first floor, with everything you could need to cater for your group. There's a large dining table with chairs and bench seating as well as a breakfast bar.
After dinner, get together on the cosy sofa and leather chairs around the fire, or watch a film in the separate TV room. There's also an office area so that you can work remotely if you choose to.
We love the outdoor areas at Chalet Bonnevie, which are a bonus at any time of year. After a day skiing, enjoy a soak in the hot tub under the stars, or in summer, cool off in the beautiful pool or simply catch some sun on the furnished terrace.
Whatever you're doing, the views are fabulous!
From a practical point of view, Chalet Bonnevie has a ski room with a heated bootrack as well as secure bike storage. There's parking outside the chalet, but in heavy snow, you may prefer to park on the road, 40m from the chalet.

After many years hiking long distance paths along French valleys and across mountains, we discovered the magnificent Aravis region. We were looking for a place where we and our three daughters could recharge our batteries, a little haven of pleasure, tranquility and good air, far from the busy city life.
We've finally found our retreat, and we are so proud to be able to share it with you.
At the crossroads between La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornand, we found our ideal playground, with forests, mountain pastures, peaks, rivers, lakes and mountains where we could strike a balance between relaxation and sports.
Winter and summer, we visit the chalet to spend time with our family and friends. We love the uninterrupted view of Lachat and the neighbouring fields, we enjoy walking or biking along the trails, hurtling down the pistes, tasting the Savoyard cheeses - in short, we love life here!
