About the property

As you enter the apartment on the ground floor, you'll find two comfortable bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. All of the bedrooms sleep two, and the beds can be arranged either as twins or large doubles.

There's also plenty of storage on this floor, as well as a separate toilet.

Head up to the elegant living area on the first floor. Here, cosy sofas and armchairs are the perfect place to relax after an exhilarating day in the mountains. If the weather is good, step out onto the balcony and enjoy the last of the evening light.

There are two more bedrooms on this floor, with vaulted ceilings, large windows and en suite shower rooms. The beds will be made up to your requirements, with Egyptian cotton bedding. Towels and toiletries are provided in the shower rooms, with extra towels and robes for the hot tub.

On the top floor you'll find the open plan kitchen/living/dining area, complete with a wood pellet stove for chilly winter evenings.The fully-equipped kitchen has everything you need to cater for a crowd, and the large dining table is positioned to make the most of the views. After dinner, it converts into a pool table, for your evening entertainment!

Step from here into an impressive glass atrium, where you can curl up with a book on the sofa, or watch French and UK TV as well as Netflix on the Smart TV. Sonos sound is installed throughout the living spaces.

Beyond the atrium is the breathtaking roof terrace - relax in the hot tub as you look out over the roofline to the mountains or fire up the barbecue and sit down together for a wonderful meal under the stars. You won't even have to go back in to top up your glass - there's a drinks fridge out here too!

The property also includes a utility room with washing and drying machines. There are two allocated parking spaces, one of which is covered, and a lockable storage area for bikes or ski equipment featuring boot warmers.

About the area

Morzine is in the centre of the Portes du Soleil, which, with 12 interconnected resorts in France and Switzerland, and 650km of pistes, offers plenty of scope for skiers and boarders of all ages and abilities.

If you’re not a skier, Morzine also offers indoor and outdoor ice skating rinks, which host ice hockey matches, and the local cinema often shows films in English.

The more adventurous might like to try snowmobiling or ice-climbing on some of the area’s frozen waterfalls, or discover the area in a more sedate manner on a sleigh ride. Other ways to have fun include snowshoeing and sledging, while the Indiana adventure park offers a variety of activities for all ages.

When the snow melts, the lush green slopes around Morzine become a haven for walkers, mountain bikers and thrill-seekers. The lifts will transport you and your bike up the mountains, leaving you to come back down at your leisure. Take a picnic, and make a day of it!

Morzine has earned Famille Plus status for its excellent childcare and entertainment programme, so it’s the perfect choice for families. There are superb water parks in the town and in neighbouring Avoriaz, as well as two summer sledges, while the Indiana adventure park has a range of assault courses to suit all ages.

Golfers will find excellent courses in Les Gets and Avoriaz. Other activities include climbing, rafting, via ferrata, canyoning, mini-golf, quad bikes, fishing and kayaking. Take advantage of the Portes du Soleil Multi Pass, which offers unrestricted access to the full range of family activities.
