requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The classification is<strong> based on a point system<\/strong>, with each requirement assigned a number of points. Some conditions are \u201cmandatory\u201d, and others are \u201coptional\u201d or \u201c\u00e0 la carte\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To achieve a certain rating, you <strong>must score a number of \u201ccompulsory\u201d points and a number of \u201coptional\u201d points for th<\/strong>e <strong>desired category.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A certain number of prerequisites apply to<strong> all properties<\/strong>\u00a0regarding <strong>quality and standards.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You need to reach <strong>100% <\/strong>of the <strong>mandatory<\/strong> points. However, if your property is missing something which allows you to hit all of the mandatory points, you may, in some cases replace it with the \u2018a la carte\u2019\/optional points. But, do note, you would need to meet a <strong>minimum of 3  \u2018a la carte\u2019\/optional points to replace 1 mandatory point. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To achieve a <strong>4-star rating<\/strong>, you must hit <strong>100% of the mandatory points per category, as well as 30% of the \u2018a la carte\u2019\/optional points<\/strong>. And for a <strong>5-star rating,<\/strong> you must achieve <strong>100% of the mandatory points per category, plus 40% of the optional criteria<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this section, we will focus on the <strong>basic<\/strong> requirements needed for a 4-star chalet vs a 5-star chalet. In addition to this, owners can choose to invest in additional facilities which will award them more points and contribute towards a higher rating. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery
