Ride the Mont Blanc Tramway<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re looking for stunning views and access to some fantastic hikes, make sure to take a ride on the Mont Blanc Tramway, which takes you from St Gervais up to the Bellevue Plateau. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In winter, you can ski back down (and your ski pass will cover the cost). Try <strong>Via ferrata<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Combining hiking and climbing, the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.chamonix.net\/english\/mountaineering\/via-ferrata\/via-ferrata-parc-thermal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Via Ferrata in St Gervais<\/a><\/strong> is a great day out for families with older children. You will follow a trail that has been cut into the rock face, which you are clipped onto at all times and be provided with a helmet for your safety. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The course at the thermal park in St Gervais has three levels of difficulty, but they are all a bit of a challenge \u2013 this is definitely one for the physically fit (and those without a fear of heights!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-5-take-a-hike\">5. <strong>Take a Hik<\/strong>e<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Similar to most resorts in the Frech Alps, St Gervais is home to fantastic walking and hiking routes for all availabilities. If you want to discover the local heritage of St Gervais, then the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/tourism.saintgervais.com\/equipement\/le-tour-du-quy-saint-gervais-les-bains\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tour du Quy<\/a><\/strong> is a great option. It\u2019s a 5.7km forest trail, open from mid-May to mid-October, that will take you about 2h30 minutes to complete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Though not in St Gervais itself, the twenty-minute drive to visit\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.chamonix.com\/gorges-de-la-diosaz,46-172313,en.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Les Gorges de la Diosaz<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0is definitely worth it. Enjoy a stunning walk along suspended footpaths and marvel at the impressive waterfalls on the way. It\u2019s a great choice on a sunny day, as much of the path is in shade. Go Mountain Biking<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In the summer, St Gervais becomes a magnet for cyclists. Experienced mountain bikers will find plenty of challenges, as many of the trails are steep and technical, but there are trails for all levels. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bikes can be taken on many of the lifts, as well as on the Mont Blanc Express train. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Why not try the locals\u2019 favourite run, from the top of the Prarion gondola down to St Gervais and Le Fayet? From St Gervais to Le Fayet, take the Pipeline (the route follows a large water pipeline from the bottom of the Le Bettex cable car).
