The French Alps are not necessarily the first place that would jump to mind when considering where to spend your next golfing trip. But imagine this:\u00a0teeing off on to quiet fairways, with mountain and lake views all around\u2026<\/span>
\nGolf in the French Alps is gaining popularity quickly. There are a real mix of courses ranging from charming family run nine hole courses to world famous championship courses.<\/span>
\nThere are a number of fantastic golf courses near or in many of our resorts. These are our five favourites.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lake Annecy Golf Club<\/span><\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n

\nLake Annecy Golf Club<\/span><\/a> is an 18 hole course situated in the heart of the Roc de Ch\u00e8re nature reserve. At the foot of the mountains and overlooking the lake, it is an absolutely stunning course.<\/span>
\nThis moderately difficult course is hilly, with a number of fareways on a bank. The club is fairly relaxed and even allows dogs on the course, on the condition that they stay on lead.<\/span>
\nThe clubhouse also has a great restaurant where you can relax after a round in the sunshine with a good, fair priced meal.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Golf de Giez<\/span><\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n

\nGolf de Giez<\/span><\/a> is situated at the south of Lake Annecy with unbelievable views of the lake and Mont Blanc.<\/span>
\nThe club has two great courses, the 18 hole \u2018B\u00e9lv\u00e8dere\u2019 course and the 9 hole \u2018Castors\u2019.<\/span>
\nThe 18 hole B\u00e9lv\u00e8dere course has a significant height variation, with the elevated holes benefiting from unparalleled views of the lake. The club is aware that the steep climb can be tough, especially in the heat of the summer months, and provides buggies, free of charge for the first few holes.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
